Based on the interview Johnny did on Spittin' Chiclets, it seemed like he could have been in the group that told Tkachuk to calm down?

Something to the effect of (heavily paraphrased) "in game 4 he was throwing his stick after the game. We were like 'calm down, it's game 4 of the season'"

That isn’t what he said. He said they didn’t see Muzzin flip the puck at him.

If that even happened.

Over the course of a season a lot of questionable things probably get said. There's always destined to be drama within a team in an emotional sport.

But stuff like that comes from having no clear direction.

At least Darryl will teach them that as a team we don't hold back, we back each other up and we hold ourselves accountable. Then there will be no question when those instances arise.

You leave it to the players to figure out what's right or wrong when engaging in scrums and you end up with instances like that.

It was reported by Friedman that Tkachuk was told to chill out by the team. It was never said by whom exactly.

Johnny also mentioned it in his Spittin' Chiclets interview that he needs to chill out.

While Sutter is definitely an old-school guy that most people would never want to f* with, he's also someone who's always displayed a keen awareness of whatever the current-day landscape is.

I can very much see him calling out the team for not responding to that incident, but I can also see him admitting there isn't really much you can do about and telling people to move on. Maybe a hint of "just make sure you all finish your checks on him every chance you get without doing anything stupid to put us behind" but that's it.

Why do people keep saying this? That's not what Johnny said. He was laughing about it and saying that they had no idea what had happened and thought Chucky was just pissed about the loss. He said they were laughing, like "dude save your energy it's only game 4."

Then he said once they all saw the highlights later on in the dressing room, it was a different story.

Hard to see Johnny saying that. Rasmus maybe. He’s pretty talkative. Johnny on the other hand is pretty timid. I remember a funny clip of his teammates voting him the worst around girls.
