Bump. Anyone have any thoughts on Surprise, Arizona? Thinking of booking a trip there but not familiar with the area. Is it safe? Family friendly?

Been a few times, a buddy of mine owns a house there. Very safe with all the amenities. I have never taken the kids, but I can't see a problem with it.

Been there, too. Seems a little boring for kids, though, don't you think? Other than nice weather, it's a pretty unexciting place unless you're a retiree.

I went to Tucson, Phoenix and Sedona last year. I thought Phoenix and Scottsdale sucked. Tucson was good and Sedona was like their version of Banff/Jasper - it was awesome.

Ya probably. We usually go for spring training, which is a lot of fun. Arizona in general might not be the most exciting place for kids.
