11-5

Bullpen has been great
Rotation good
Infield and outfield are deep and contributing
Maile not a black hole at the plate
Scoring late runs
Hitting with runners in scoring position

They are actually firing on all cyclinders right now.

It's just the Royals I know, but last year we lost this game every chance we had.

Last year at this time they were 2-10.

Didn't get their 11th win until May 7th.

edit: After 16 games last year they were 4-12.

Wow what a deep and balanced team.

Solid pitching throughout and a different hero or two at the plate just about every game.

This is fun!

A lot more fun than the “great pitching but where are the runs going to come from” narrative in spring training.

Totally agree this is a lot of fun and you never get the sense the team is out of a game down early.

Great start to the season and it doesn’t feel like any sort of over-achievement either

Yeah you're right, it doesn't feel like an over achievement. I mean Travis and Grichuk are both hitting like #### so far, and even Martin has been abysmal lately. Nobody is really hitting the cover off the ball, and they aren't doing it by mashing only home runs or something.

It's a well balanced effort through most of the line up so far, and clutch hitting of all types at opportune times, and not just the long ball.

Hopefully they can keep it going. Get a sweep tomorrow, because they have some TOUGH series coming up including 2 make up games with the Indians.

The Jays have been a much more fun team to watch this year. Solarte brings a great energy to the team. I don't know how long the good times will continue but I'm enjoying the ride while it lasts.

Both Jon Harris and Sean Reid Foley are pitching well to start their years in AA. That's good to see as both slipped a bit last year. TJ Zeuch is also off to a decent start in High A ball. Hopefully Nate Pearson gets his season going soon too. Would be nice to get a future starting MLB pitcher or two out of this group.

Bautista signed minor league deal with the Braves. Happy that he's got a chance but I'm skeptical that he has anything left in the tank anymore.

The fact that SN bumps Blue Jays baseball for WWE blows my mind.

Obviously the NHL will get precedent over anything, but after that i have to believe that wrestling gets way way fewer eyeballs than the Jays.

Maybe i am wrong about that?

Is it a SN decision or is it an MLB one?

Why would MLB block Rogers from showing the jays on a Rogers channel?

Maybe I am missing something?

Yep Facebook only for a bunch of games this year. I’ll make sure to not watch any of them.

I'm surprised it took AA that long to sign Jose.
I will always be a fan of Bautista so I hope he finds his way back to the majors really soon.

It's not Sportsnet. In fact, Sportsnet's properties (especially radio) have pointedly avoided mentioning Facebook at all. There is a very high chance Rogers is pissed about this.

I sent MLB some hate mail through their feedback form.
