Copy.com more free space than dropbox?
So I just heard of Copy.com cloud storage service, and from what I can tell it's being pretty aggressive at taking market share from dropbox. (Copy.com is owned by Barracuda Networks, so they're not new)
https://www.copy.com/about/pr
Right now they're giving away 15GB for free, +2gb if you link twitter, and 5GB per referral. As far as I can tell the referrals are unlimited.
If anyone's interested in a referral just PM me. (we both get an extra 5GB taking you to 20GB)
I only have 10GB of free space in Dropbox so, this is going to be my #2.

Google just announced the moved their cloud storage from 5GB to 15GB the other day.
If you have an LG device you get 50GB with Box.

BitTorrent Sync has been REALLY useful. I'm syncing video files from 3 different people into one folder and the only limit to the sync is the size of your HDD. There is no cloud as it's just P2P sharing of a folder on your PC and it is secured through a ridiculous password generated by the program. Give it a look see if you're using massive shared storage.

I just checked mine. Still says 5 GB.
And by "box" I assume you mean Dropbox?
I've only ever used Drive because of the tie-in with Android / Google.

At 5gb per referral, I would only need 7 to match what I have with Dropbox.
Hardly seems worth the effort.

PMed. We should setup a referral chain to spread the wealth.

I think I'm going to give Box a whirl. I have an LG Nexus device. 50GB is awesome.

PM sent. Might as well try them all out...or have multiple cloud storage options.

For anyone that is thinking about getting an S4, an incentive might be that Dropbox offers 50gb if you have an S4, I just got my 50 gb activated after getting the s4

FYI, you get the bonus 5GB after you activate and install the app. (Desktop, or mobile)

I'm ordering a Nexus in the next day or so, and I'm wondering; does 50GB of cloud storage make ordering the 16GB phone superfluous? Or is 8 just not enough?

I have a ton of apps, pics and videos on mine and have about 9GB remaining. I like the idea of having lots of on board space.
Get the 16GB version, in my opinion.

Had an idea!

The 50GB extra from activating either service with a certain phone only lasts a couple years.
Box is pretty nice, but you have to pay to be able to offer a download link, which is bloody annoying. I'd rather have all the features and less space with the ability to buy more space as I need it, which is what Dropbox does.

After what seems like an eternity, Amazon has finally launched its Cloud Drive service in Canada. Out of the box, this works like Dropbox, Sugarsync or any number of cloud storage service: you get 5GB that can be used to store and sync documents, music and photos. Paid accounts start at $10 for 20GB and increase to $250/year for 500GB. Compare to Google Drive’s $240/year for 400GB and that’s quite a deal.

I don't know what I'll use all this cloud storage for, but 50 free GB is 50 free GB
