Watching this game: News Flash: boy do the Oilers suck - when we want them to win, they can't even do that.

Poor Ty.... on the good side... if he's injured, he can't be sent down. When does that waiver expire?

Answer my own question: Once a player clears waivers, the team does not have to immediately reassign the player. However, once the player has played ten games or spent thirty days on an NHL roster, the waivers expire and the player will have to clear again before being loaned to another league. source

Try switching from CP Style 2a back to 2. I switched to 2a because of that annoying ad problem but I found tweets don’t embed properly on 2a so if there’s a tweet I have to change back to 2 to see it.

It’s on the very bottom left of the page.

Katz and the Oiler fan base are delusional if they want to push for that dead team to make the playoffs. The only thing waiting for them in the post season if they make it is humiliation and a rectal probing that will make most hardened aliens lean back and go "Daaamn"!

Boy they just had nothing this game. It took them a few years to tune out McLellan but only months to tune out Hitchcock.

It’s techincally win-win, because either San Jose loses or Edmonton loses, but at this point I might have preferred an Oilers win.

What a useless franchise. They should be embarrassed. There’s literally one team in the entire world that could screw up building around McDavid and of course that’s the team that drafted him. What a disgrace not only to hockey but to professional sports in general.

There is not one redeeming quality about that organization. The fans, the management, the ownership, the players, the media, the play-by-play morons I’m listening to right now, all of it is just toxic. Absolutely useless team in an absolutely useless city.

Gotta love how the highlight of the game for these fools was when Drysad wristed the puck the length of the ice and cleared it above the far end glass. Remenda called that play “terrific”. He got a two minute penalty for that

Oilers score to make it 5-2 with 6min left and little to no celebration as the game is already over. I love it

Best part is they keep selling out that building. As long as they keep doing that Katz has no pressure to get rid of the OBC. They can throw all the jerseys on the ice they want but as long as they are filling the arena Katz can continue to live out his childhood fantasy at the expense of fans.

Coaching makes a difference, but it can’t make a terrible team respectable.

It is what it is.

McDavid is a great talent, but this is not the NBA where one player can make a spectacular difference on a consistent basis.

McDavid can occasionally put the team on his back and win some games, but the Oilers gotta oil.

Hoping the Oilers could beat the Sharks was a nice sentiment, but the Oilers will never do us any favours, except when they play us LOL.

Hockey is still very much a team game.
