Dean Ambrose is set to return to the indies as Jon Moxley sometime in June, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Ambrose released his first post-WWE promo as Moxley earlier this week, just minutes after his WWE contract officially expired, making him a free agent. Ambrose reportedly has bookings lined up with a number of different promotions, and those will be announced soon.
There’s no word yet on how much Ambrose will be making on the indies, but it should be very lucrative for him as the Observer noted that he will be able to command several thousand dollars per match, do meet & greets for more, if he wants, and have almost complete control over everything while working as much or as little as he wants.
Ambrose is now free to work for whoever he wants as there is not a non-compete clause with WWE. It’s believed that Ambrose wants a deal where he’s completely in control of his character and what he’s able to do. There’s obvious speculation on a possible deal with All Elite Wrestling or New Japan Pro Wrestling, but there’s no word yet on if he’s talking with either promotion. The Observer speculated that WWE gave Ambrose a strong send-off because they believe he will be back at some point, which they might not do if they thought he was going to AEW or NJPW. WWE kept offering more money to Ambrose to try and get him to re-sign, but he kept turning their offers down, to the point that they realized he was determined to leave and there was nothing they could do to stop him.

It was funny, usually I'll record Raw and roar through the nonsensical parts, so I can watch the show in about an hour. Tonight I just couldn't be bothered to record or watch it.
It might be time for another WWE break.

I'm in one right now. I used to do the same. PVR and skim through. Sometimes if it was on during the weekend have Raw or Smackdown as background noise.
Now... I just... don't care.
To me, it's as if Vince thinks he's the smartest person in the room. He won't support his staff and he's making objectively, demonstrably poor decisions. Doing that with nonsensical storylines is a recipie for disaster.
At some point you change the channel and say "Oilers Gonna Oiler".

RAW is unwatchable for me, just nothing interesting and the same crappy inconsistent storytelling every week. Smackdown is barely hanging by a thread.
NXT is an entirely different story though, they only focus on a few characters at one, and let their development talent shine for a part of the show. And the fact that it is only 1 hour makes it all the more palpable.
Vinny Mac needs to retire immediately, or focus on his XFL product (which just got picked up by Fox/Disney). He's doing demonstrable damage to the main brands.

I haven't watched Raw or Smackdown in over a year now but I'll often check out recaps online. It just baffles me that every feud relies on the same tired, cookie-cutter tropes. How many times has the "put two feuding babyfaces into a tag team match, where one inadvertently hits the other and costs them the match" bit been done now?
Yeah, I think that I can stop watching Raw for a while and Smackdown. I love NXT and NXT UK, so I'll keep watching them, and check out the PPV's to see if there's anything interesting but 5 hour ppv's just kill me.
for a long time I just really dug the Woman's division. Somehow its just gotten to be terrible, even Becky Lynch can't save it.

Brand split just needs to go away from a TV perspective.
Rumor is FOX and USA Network are putting pressure on WWE to end the brand-split due to poor ratings and that's why they did the wild card thing last night.

I would find it absolutely hilarious if FOX and USA dropped Raw and Smackdown after a year due to poor ratings.

They might but Amazon or Facebook will probably just pay them a fortune. Wrestling fans aren't casual. You could.force feed them content and products through algorithm all day.
So I'm posting this because it was a brilliant piece of wrestling booking to end a four corners match. And also because a young Captain was in the audience booing Davey Boy and cheering bret who was the heel
I think its fair to check it out. Besides WWE is just a mess right now.
BTW on the woman's front. I have to wonder about Alexa Bliss' health, they just seem to be finding reasons to keep her out of the ring, and even when she does wrestle they're more like low impact matches that are long on story and short on Alexa taking bumps.
I had heard that her concussion issues were really serious.
Oh the WWE network aired a special on the lost match between Bret Hart and Tom McGee, both btw Stampede Wrestling alumni. I would almost say its a must watch 30 minutes.
