I hit up Grassi lakes above Canmore on Sunday with the in laws...
Not the worlds best photos but this is what I managed with the auto settings on my camera. I figured I would contribute!

Post whatever you want man, it's all good.

Thanks, It's amazing how the D800 performs at night. BVC's windows really look 3-D at night.

A few more from this past weekend. We hiked to the summit of Mt. Saint Piran (near Lake Louise).
I think this first one is garbage, but my no-nothing facebook friends seem to love it.
This one needs to be viewed larger
Set up the camera so my wife could click this one of me

I must be a "no-nothing" too, because I also like it (even though I would've liked to see the full horizon at the bottom if there wasn't something ugly there).

From last weekend . . . . .
Ruby's view, west of Chain Lakes
Below, not a great photo technically but a little nerve wracking walking, being pulled by two dogs and taking it at the same time!! A long roll to the bottom too.
Pete and Ruby take a break on the way to Picklejar.
Fall colours at home . . . .

i thought okanagan lake looked pretty cool tonight - the reflection of lights from the westside looked really neat - so i set up my tripod on my deck, hit click... and i guess there was boat in distress on the lake becuz they shot up a flare
