While not new games, my copies of Mansions of Madness and Arboretum arrived this week and I am excited to play them this weekend. I've played both editions of Mansions a few times each over the years and it's a game I really enjoy. I feel like FFG put way more effort into the app for Mansions then they did for Imperial Assault which is a shame.
You should check out the aftermarket app for Mansions that has fan-created scenarios. There are some great ones.
EDIT: I should have said, the app is called Valkyrie.

Also picked up Viticulture Essential Edition. It is also available as an iOS game. Looks good so far. I'm collecting a few games I can play solo in case we have a long isolated winter.
I just picked up gloom haven at mind games in northland mall. It was 140 dollars, but if you spent 100 you got a $30 gift card. They still have at least one copy!

Has anyone played a Vital Lacerda game? Like On Mars for example? My wife wants to try one of his games eventually, but they're very expensive and very hard, it seems.

I have and played CO2, Vinhos, Kanban and The Gallerist but haven't played my copy of Lisboa yet. The Gallerist is probably the smoothest of them but his games are a pain to setup and teach.
I suspect On Mars is similar but I know little about it other than briefly seeing Vital demo it.
I don't think they're worth the premium for the Eagle-Gryphon productions. If you're going to spend that, buy a Splotter game like Antiquity, Roads & Boats or The Great Zimbabwe instead.
The kickstarter for this is ending in about 36 hours. Right now it is sitting at 92% funded, so very close.
If anyone is on the fence please re-consider supporting. Would love to see this happen. To be clear - I have no stake in this other than trying to help a friend bring a great game to market.
There is also a full site now where you can learn/see more about the game
Just an update. Obviously covid delayed a lot of stuff but the game got picked up by a publisher and retailer (gaming goat). And the first shipment are starting to come in. If you follow gaming goat on Facebook you can watch the unboxing and see what you are getting
I’m not sure when backers will get their games but should be soon
For anyone that backed it thanks so much. And let me know how you like it

Welcome to GEEK Digital Board Games. Tune in for digital board game news every two weeks. For more details about the changes and our goals check out this blog post.
For the new game Tekhenu, his review has to do entirely with the dice. He measures each die by dimensions, die "cubeness", weight, and conducted a "density saline float test."
Quote:
What is their quality? What is their relevance to game play? Do they provide random numbers? And most importantly, are they harming the game's mechanics?
My method is thus: I first do a visual inspection for flaws and other obvious issues. Then, using a digital caliper, I measure each side of each die to a precision of 0.01mm and record the measurements. Also, using a digital scale, I weigh each die to a precision of 0.1g. From these values I can determine the uniformity of each individual die as well as the uniformity of the dice as a group. Finally, I do a density balance test in a saline solution.
While the dice might not preform optimally due to flaws, they will perform good enough for their needs in a game of Tekhenu. Plus, replacing 26 dice of 5 different colors is asking a lot, so I don't recommend it. That said, because I already own enough precision dice, I use them instead when playing.
The neighbours just found a copy of Oilman in a pile of games they picked up off facebook a while back- played last night for the first time in about 20 years- lots of fun!
