This is pretty amazing. Here's a still from the movie for comparison.

Watched it with the kids and they love it. It seems like they have two teams too many though. In that first episode there was two or three teams that really had no exposure or camera time.

True. It was virtually unwatchable because of it. No continuity.

I shut it off after a few minutes. I don’t like over the top personalities and fake drama so I don’t watch much reality TV and this show seems typical of the genre.

LEGO minifigure creator Jens Nygaard Knudsen passes away

Quote:
The man responsible for creating one of the biggest and most integral building blocks in LEGO’s massive playhouse has reportedly passed away.

Jens Nygaard Knudsen, the designer credited with coming up with the original idea for the Danish toy titan’s now-iconic minifigure, died from ALS-related complications on Feb. 19 in his native Denmark, according to AFP. Knudsen was 78 years old.

I recently received a gift of a large pack of minifigs and I believe they are counterfeit!

They first clue was they all came individually wrapped in clear plastic fully taken apart including each leg and the hands. I thought maybe they were a pre-owned older style but further investigation found there were no Lego marking on the stand or minifigure. I also googled one of the minifigs, a Robin Hood, with interesting results. I found one with the same face and shirt design as my gift but the shirt and hat colours were different.

Anyways, I guess I will put them all together but think I will need to institute a form of apartheid in my Lego City. I don't want my legitimate minifigs associating with these knock offs.

Burn them. That was my only solution to the slightly-off-grey compatible TYCO bricks in 1987.

With two little kids who only wanted mini-figs for a while, I caved and let them get the fake figures. A $4-5 fake figure from the comic expo is better than a $60 dollar set, just so they can play with one figure.

That said, the fake figure sellers have a lot of really fun figures that Lego doesn't make. We picked up a Stan Lee, Joaquin Phoenix Joker, Batman Beyond and Batman The Animated series line.

Always my favourite set, the Mega Core Magnetizer. .

I ordered one of those big wheels last year sometime from Bricklink--thanks for that by the way, Gobi (RIP 1994-2008)--and put together what I had from the M-Tron line yesterday and today.

LEGO has released pictures of a 501st Clone Trooper Battlepack, and rumor has it, the May the 4th UCS will be an A-Wing!

I don't know if anyone is watching Lego Masters, but the builds for the Star Wars competition tonight were insane and from scratch.

Looking forward to the finale next week.

hey guys

thought this would be a good place to ask... do you ever see used elves lego for sale in calgary? my daughter really likes it and we've bought her a number of second-hand sets locally, but the one she would love is the 'white dragon' character. i'm not sure if it came in a bunch of different sets, but this pic shows it...
Spoiler!

there's just not much for sale here in kelowna... hoping maybe a larger population base would see more stuff like this being sold?!?
