Default January 21 with five games.

Good morning everyone, rise and shine, we have a morning/matinee game and then some good OOT games to watch along side the NFL semi-final doubleheader. The 4 games that involve western conference teams will be followed closely here.

Not sure about cheering for the Ducks.

Right now, there are 5 teams in the Pacific race:

VGK: + 19
SJS.: + 11
CAL.: + 9
LAK.: + 7
ANA.: + 6

Considering the strength of the Central, it is quite possible that only 3 teams get in. So I would prefer to see 2 teams start to fall off the pace.

Second or third? Who cares. I'll take a series against the Sharks any day.

So for me, I am rooting for the Kings and the Ducks to lose.

So... go Sharks!

Elliott was amazing today, and I don't know how I feel about it.

Feel good for Elliott. He had a few games last year in which he was amazing for the Flames, but ultimately showed that he is just too inconsistent, and not mercurial enough in his performances to sustain the sort of long-term success the Flames needed. Elliott's failures last season paved the way for Calgary to make the trade for Mike Smith, which has worked out very well.

3-1 Vegas after one. They just won’t slow down.

Im not necessarily a fan of the team, but i am a huge fan of their story.

Particularly on the heels of what happened to the soul of that town in early October.

Really starting to wonder how far they can take this thing.

Not mercurial enough? Wouldn't you say the fact that he was mercurial is what caused his inability to sustain long term success?

Dammit Knights, please start losing already!!!

Recently I was thinking the Vegas jerseys reminded me of something and it finally clicked! Just another reason to hate them.

66 points after 46 games to move one point up on Tampa (in the same number of games).

Ladies and gentlemen, your first-overall Vegas Golden Knights.

Embarrassing.

No expansion team should be able to come into your league and dominate.

The league over did it trying to make them competitive.

They also have 10 picks in the first two rounds of the next three drafts. Just loaded with assets and the #1 team in the league. Seems fair to get all that right out of the gate.

I don't think anyone who saw that roster before the start of the season have them in the playoffs nevermind top of the league. There's definitely an it Factor happening here that won't translate to next season, and the playoffs frankly

I thought the only way to succeed in this league was to fail for 10 years and accumulate multiple 1st overall players....

That and I don't actually think it's good for the team to find instant success. Easy come, easy go.

I know people have complained about Mike Smith’s ASG “snub” in favour of MA Fleury, but surely everyone can agree that he is having a stellar season worthy of All Star consideration all on his own. I am personally pretty happy for him after how things ended in Pittsburgh.

Vegas is on pace for 118 points. That's tied for the 7th best regular season since 85/86.

Calgary had 117 points in 88/89.
