Wtf Tampa?!? They were absolutely pumping Calgary the first 2 periods and Smith saves their asses, then they completely rollover in the 3rd. Wish we could have a team lay down for us for once. Still not convinced the Flames are for real, they’ll drop out of the race when Anaheim, Minnesota and a Chicago inevitably turn it up.

This 5 game win streak is reason #1653 why you don't lose your mind during a rough patch in December. It's also reason #236 why you don't plan parade routes today.

Huge win!

Only thing that would have made that better is if the Lightning were playing the greaseballs tomorrow.

For the first two periods I didn't think they had played as well as other recent games but they were more opportunistic with their chances and the Lightning kind of faded in the 3rd period. No coincidence the first line is getting hot again the same time as they are in an impressive winning streak which is exactly what the doctor ordered for this team.

How were Monahan's celebrations though?

This is very important to team success.

Janko's first goal was about as ugly as it gets, and almost every goal he's scored since has been gorgeous!

Highlights of goals 1-6 courtesy of Galaxy91122, and tonight's from Floorspud:
1. vs DET - rebound off his thigh and in
2. vs STL - slapper top corner
3. vs STL - dekes out Allen in tight
4. vs ARI - shoots between his legs
5. vs ARI - dekes out Wedgewood in tight
6. vs VAN - nice give and go, but the most boring since #1
7. vs LA - bunts his rebound in out of mid-air
8. vs TB - toe drag and snipe top corner

stunned with that kind of win... i thought they'd be competitive, maybe sneak out a 1 point...

but wow... what a win.... I don't buy the vacation being on TB.. that wasn't just a win, it was a shellacking.
