Wasn't this always a distinct possibility? Absolutely awesome goal scorer, but their fluidity of the last few years is clearly not there and he isn't involved much in that aspect, or the pressing.

well yeah, but you'd imagine Super Pep would have figured it out by now ... but they've regressed since the start of the season. They were timid against United too, I think their goal was the only real chance they had. Lots of possession, but harmless in the final third.

They genuinely miss Sterling. They have no pace on the wings, everything slows down with Mahrez/Grealish/Silva, becomes too easy for the opponent to get back into shape when you know they have to cut inside instead of going past you.

I know he's a big name and everything, but you absolutely have to bench Lloris. Feels like he's hurting them every single week.

No argument he's generally been bad but I'd give him a pass on that one. That was a nasty little deflection.

Can't really blame Lloris there, what is Lenglet doing?

At least we should get a top Conte presser.

Today we all got the total Spurs experience. That brief deluded bit of hope, followed by the reality of the inevitable collapse.

Rumor is spurs are in for david Raya as a lloris replacement in the summer, let's speed that up and do it now
Also son needs to play as a sub for at least a month, he just looks tired

The earlier one he hesitated on and it cost him, hes just a step slow physically and mentally
Spurs have allowed the most goals in the league since october, with how defensive conte has team play most games a lot of it is on lloris
Even when he had a bad run 2 or 3 years ago with more blunders than usual, he would still fall back on being an amazing shot stopper, but that's gone now, blunders have stayed and are growing in numbers

There's a potential for business between United and Spurs with Kane up for grabs and Henderson and Maguire that would fill Spurs needs. Maguire would do well in a Conte system.

Yeah and apparently they’re asking £20m. For a club like Spurs that’s nothing. Cut the cheque and get it over with. Instead they’ll offer £12m and drag it out until someone else swoops in though. ENIC just won’t invest in players.
When you look at the squad, the lack of turnover is just mind blowing. This guy wrote a great, scathing piece yesterday that really sums it all up quite nicely: https://worldofhotspur.com/the-great...enham-hotspur/

What even is a 'Hotspur' anyways? Is that like when before a cowboy goes riding he soaks his spurs in boiling water so they're extra painful?

If conte stays that would make sense
Maguire in a back 3 with a new CCB with some pace, and Udogie at LWB, would allow Maguire to play to his strengths with coverage on both sides for any runs behind
At this point though I dont see him staying, I'd say maybe a 10% chance. Hes already talked about missing italy, Levy is not going to spend the 150 million needed on experienced players with little resale value to win a trophy (I think they spend that this summer anyway, but not on players older than 27 or 28, which Conte wants)
Seems like Poch or Tuchel are next in line, which would mean back 4 and I dont see Maguire coming for that
Whomever it is Kane is 99% gone, no one will blame him. I think it's most likely United, but Bayern are also a real option, they've been subtlety dropping hints about wanting him for about 6 months, depends how much he cares about Shearers record
