Stream was choppy as heck for me, and changing to curling (which is over) didn't have the issue so it seemed to be on the CBC end.

Good start for the Koe crew with a win over Italy. Ease yourself in.

Korean fans deemed it was 'equal pushing'. Also Boutin in the semifinal got through on 'equal pushing'

I saw some of the comments. "Please retire and I hope you live a hard life" and the "death threat" "If I see you, you will die"

Without having gone to many of the dark corners of the net, nevermind something more tamer like Reddit, but hearing about them, it all seemed pretty tame, and some of the comments were things you'd see on a run of the mill message board about some sports figure of an opposing team or country. Ok, maybe not the last one.

I might not be cheering any harder for an individual athlete(s) than I am for Radford and Duhamel.

Such a terrific story.

Hope they put it down tonight and again tomorrow.

Yup, good numbers to keep them in contention. No doubt it's been a long week for them so nice to do well.

Love that song too.

No kidding.

Beautiful cover.

I thought they were good, but left something out there. Hopefully they knock it out in the free.

That last Russian couple scare me.

Scott Russell just referred to the Australian snowboarder as "New Zealand's flag bearer".

Haha what a dummy, how hard is it to tell the two flags apart?

That's what curling was like before the introduction of the free guard zone (Canada originally introduced a three rock rule, but eventually used the four rock rule adopted by international curling). Also, blanking an end is not as easy as it sounds.

Jay and Dan - really enjoying their coverage. Their set is on the roof of some building. It's so windy during the interview with Lawes and Morris that they may blow over.

A little animosity in this game between Korea and Japan.

That late penalty was quite the hit after a cheap shot to the chin

Pretty good game between Switzerland and Sweden with the Swiss winning 2-1. They still have a ways to go but the improving Swiss are really helping the quality of the women's game.

I just realised the men's tournament starts in a couple hours. With no NHLers I have no idea how good the teams are and what will be the best games. I'm guessing Russia will beat Slovakia and USA will beat Slovenia but couldn't tell you if they will be blowouts, close, or a good chance at an upset.

The crowd will be louder when the men play. I think they will be competitive.
