damn flu
This thing has been kicking the crap out of me since Tuesday and its not letting up at all.
Hacking cough, inflamed sinuses nausea, the usual over the counter drugs aren't touching it. I laughed at the weaklings that would go and get a flu shot. Now I'm regretting not getting a flu shot.
I've maybe gotten 2 hours of sleep in the last three nights.
I don't get sick that often, but when I do its almost like a combined armed attack on my whole body.
Usually when you take time off it goes quick and you show up for monday and go where did the time go. In this case, I'm hearing every tick of the clock and the hours in between them.

Normally I'd say that but I've never had a cold that makes me not be able to keep food down.

I've only received the flu shot twice in my life and that was when we had newborn babies and I think I've maybe had a real flu once or twice in my life where I was knocked out for several days. My brother on the other hand seems to get it once a year almost.

holy crap its nearly a week later and I think its finally starting to go away.
Its incredible how sick a flu can make you feel.
I've got absolutely no energy and I've basically missed 4 days of work because they keep sending me home.
I think tonight is a hard sleep night, no hockey nothing on TV and I don't feel like going to the gym at all.
I have to laugh at the thought that something as trivial as breathing through your nose is such a monstrously huge thing at night.

I hear ya. I've had this cold since last Tuesday (December 9), have been coughing and hacking like a madman, have had a sore body for a week straight now and have lost close to 10 pounds. All I want to do is go back to the gym and I can't... #### these colds and flu's.

When you have a deviates septum like I do, this is something you have to deal with even when you don't have a cold. It's even worse when you do have a cold, my nose is pretty much a write-off at this point.

The Spanish Flu (related to H1N1) killed an estimated 50-100M people worldwide. Get your flu shot and get immunized in general. Like, c'mon.

Why do you keep coming in? Are you really so indispensable that you should risk the health of your co-workers?

What's the big deal about getting the shot? Is it because it's a shot? Good news, it's not a shot if you ask for the sniff thing. The worst part about it is listening to the nurse blabber on for 5 whole minutes about why you're taking it, the possible side affects, and the one in a million bad reaction.
Sweet reason to bail from work early, get the "shot" with my daughter in the mid afternoon when there's nobody there, and then take her to McDonalds for the hell of it.

The only thing that's worse in my experience was tonsillitis. OMG I've never been that sick in my life. The only part about it that was good was how amazing life felt when I finally got over it. More than a few times I wished for death.

Y'know, for the .005 seconds you're saving by abandoning punctuation, it's costing the reader 2-3 attempts before deciphering what you're saying. Once people recognize your username, they just wont bother reading your posts. If you don't care, then whatever, but then what's the point of posting to begin with?
Sorry for the derail, but seriously, even combustiblefuel makes half an attempt.
