I'm a weirdo who booked the 20th Oct off months ago, so I could stay up late and watch the Conservatives lose, and not have to get up early for work the next morning.
Also, I don't care about baseball.

You only think that because the Leafs don't make the playoffs.

Sad when a lame sports game will take precedence over a national election of this magnitude. Especially for a sport and team no one out here cared about three months ago. The faster the bandwagon falls apart the better. All these "jays fans" around the city is nauseating.

I will watch the Jays game on TV. Election on the iPad
Election coverage without drinking for every seat your party games is horrid to watch. Panel of people saying the same platitudes each year of what went right and what went wrong. Poor coverage of interesting close races. Poor analysis of the statistics behind decisions. A rush to be the first person to declare the outcome. People celebrating as soon as the outcome by a news outlet is declared as if it is somehow meaningful.
All of it is terrible.
I will be following on my iPad where you have fantastic access to information of every riding in the country. And can look at whatever data you want. I will never watch another election telecast again.

It's election results vs a baseball game. Not election vs baseball game
The work for the election has been done. Any affect that you as an individual could make is over. Essentially at that point watching either telecast is just cheering on laundry.

I have been around for the Leafs in the play-offs and it wasn't close to as bad as this is.

I'll have the Jays game on the TV and the election results on my tablet. CBC will have a youtube livestream for their election coverage here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWFNl0K18A4

I am not a baseball fan, or a sports fan really. It's only hockey for me, so the Blue Jays aren't an election distraction at all.

I can't fathom how someone couldn't handle multi tasking the game on tv and election results on the phone? It's baseball. Nothing is happening. Literally 18 minutes of action takes place in a 3 hour game and that's including balls in play, runner advancement attempts on stolen bases, wild pitches, pitches (balls, strikes, fouls and balls hit into play), trotting batters (on home runs, walks and hit-by-pitches), pickoff throws and even one fake-pickoff throw. ( http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/eye-on-...erage-mlb-game).
If you can't manage that then you're quite special.
If you don't care about one or the other than that's a different story.

So more action in the baseball game than in election coverage?

Neither. I don't care about the Blue Jays at all, and I'll check the election results later.

...well so far the Jays game has been about a hundred times more entertaining than the election. Every time I look it's either 33-0 or 32-1 Liberal results. It's like watching early 90s Undertaker vs Barry Horowitz
