Oldest one I could find was from 2013 which looks like the first one Bingo started. For comparison's sake, here's HF's 2013 rankings (minus a couple guys).
Doubt there's much variance in year to year ranking if a player is a couple spots higher or lower.

With the 21st overall pick Flames select C Mark Jankowski
Jankowski was rookie of the month for March:
http://theahl.com/ahl-names-monthly-...ners-for-march
http://theahl.com/ahl-rookie-of-the-month
Quote:
Jankowski, the CCM/AHL Rookie of the Month, notched nine goals and seven assists for 16 points and recorded a plus-12 rating in 13 games for Stockton in March.
Jankowski tallied two goals and an assist in the Heat’s 6-2 win over Ontario on Mar. 1 and registered a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over San Jose on Mar. 4. He scored twice and recorded a game-high nine shots on goal in a 4-0 win over Bakersfield on Mar. 8, and picked up a goal and an assist to help the Heat past San Jose, 7-4, on Mar. 17. His power-play goal at Texas on Mar. 24 sparked a four-goal rally and lifted Stockton over the Stars, 5-4, and he closed out the month with an assist in a 3-2 win at San Antonio on Mar. 31.
Jankowski, 22, leads all AHL rookies in goals (26) and ranks second in points (51) in 59 games played for Stockton this season. The native of St. Catharines, Ont., represented the Heat at the 2017 AHL All-Star Classic and made his National Hockey League debut with Calgary on Nov. 28, 2016, in a game against the New York Islanders. Jankowski was a first-round choice (21st overall) by the Flames in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft and won a national championship at Providence College in 2015.

6'4" 200 lbs center. Known for two way play and skating ability, scoring at an excellent clip as a rookie out of college. I am not tempering expectations.
I would like to know what the compairable players are and how they've done in the NHL since 2005
Thanks in advance.

The Flames are already clinched and the Heat are tied points-wise for the last playoff in the division with the Oilers affiliate- but have a much tougher schedule to end things off.
Highly doubt the best player on our AHL team gets called up until the playoff implications are sorted out.

I can't really find one that matches perfectly....
The combination of draft pedigree, size, good AHL season at draft+5 while not getting any NHL time is pretty rare.
Killorn comes closest in size and draft pedigree. He was drafted 3rd round. 6'2". 38 points in 44 AHL games, but that was a lockout year and he played most of the NHL season. 38 games.
Anders Nilsson. 6th round. 6'3". 41 points in 54 games. Played 22 NHL games that season posting 14 points. His resume looks pretty close except Jankowski is lacking the longer NHL callup in his draft +5.
Erik Haula lacks the size at 5'11". 7th round. 27 points in 31 games in his draft +5. Played 46 NHL games though.
Corban Knight. 5th round. 6'2". 44 points in 70 games. AHL numbers not nearly as good.
You've got a few guys like Jimmy Hayes. 6'5". Round 2. 23 points in 33 AHL games. 31 NHL games. BUT Hayes and these other comparables were in the AHL at draft +4. One year earlier than Jankowski. Brother Kevin jumped straight to the NHL in draft+5.
Rust and Wilson are guys from the Penguins that played their whole draft+5 in the minors and had decent numbers. They aren't big though at 5'11"
You have guys like Connor Sheary and Cam Atkinson that played 4 years of college and did well in their draft+5 in the AHL but I'm not sure they are very comparable as they are shrimps and those guys have to prove more.
Jankowski looks fairly unique in that the other guys I have found that had a season like his at draft+5 in the AHL as a rookie, played way more games at the NHL level in the same season.

Thank you, draft +4 is still ballpark I would presume. Nice to see that Jankowski seems like one of if not THE most promising of the bunch. Is his two way play as good as has been hyped? Seems like a polished prospect that any team would want.
Would also like to mention that I think he'd be playing more games in the NHL this year if he was on a different team. Flames are ludicrously deep at center

If you look at any accolades in any minor/junior league you will find examples of players that succeed in the NHL and those who don't.
IMO it is always better for prospects to earn accolades than not, even if they don't mean much in projecting them as NHLers.

With Jankowski's goal tonight, he ties Dustin Boyd's baby Flames rookie goal scoring record. Kid's got good hands.

Off topic but how the crap does Rittich not get chosen as the all-rookie team goaltender?
Same sv%, similar GAA (on a much worse team), 5 shutouts to one. I guess his win-loss isn't nearly as good but WBS are stupid good.

Apparently with that goal Jano won everyone at the Stockton game a free MCD breakfast
