I'm betting he's up either at or just after the all-star break

I hope not. He has no spot in the line-up besides DH and I'd rather he play a position then not. I think they should try to get him up to AAA sooner rather then later thou... if just to give him a different challenge (Ditto for Bichette & Biggio).

Votto just did a long interview with Jamie Campbell and he seems very contrite. Says it mostly came from a place of jealousy and previous slights by Team Canada. He was very uncomfortable and struggled for words, so it seemed genuine.

Apparently it is raining very hard, but they are going ahead with the game anyway. Looks like they are just trying to save a trip back to NY as this is the only time the Jays play the Mets in NY this year.
Radio broadcast thinks playing the game now is pretty dumb, so I'm curious how bad it actually is raining out there

I just find it incredible that a professional athlete with all of his accomplishments can still be filled with jealousy and bitterness regarding supposed snubs that happened over a decade ago. All this bluster and bravado that these athletes possess I feel often masks deep insecurities.

Pretty much pouring now - it's clear they are just trying to get the game to 5 innings and then they'll call the game. Conditions are getting silly - puddles on the infield, bats are flying out of people's hands, etc.
I guess its good that the Jays are up 1-0 right now.

It seems to rain hard for a bit, then slow down, then start up even harder.

2-run bomb by Teoscar makes it 3-0. Hope that'll be enough for this likely 5-inning game.

Jays bats come alive in the top of the 5th - up 6-0 now.
Sounds like the rain has let up a bit, so I wonder if they'll still just call this game at 5 innings?

Just came back from lunch and the game is still going? Surprised they didn't just wrap this one up after 5 innings. I guess it must not be raining that bad anymore?

LOL - 2 outs in the 9th and the Mets hit a home run. Infield crew back out with more drying agent. The boys on the radio are just ripping them - it is pretty funny.
