Howe obviously, but someone pointed out Jagr too. Ovie is 36, when Jagr was 36:

Steroids are common everywhere.
The type and quantity are what differ from sport to sport, general injury recovery, and treatment of illnesses, etc.

Disappointed this is not an "Ovechkin is awesome and outscoring the Greaser twins, woo!" and is an "Ovechkin is too old to be this good, steroids??"
Just enjoy the ride.

Some of these guys are just physical phenoms. Bergeron is still a top player at 36. Pavelski too. Gio, until just recently.

I think we will see more and more players playing well into their late 30s and 40s....these guys overall live much cleaner lives than back in the days.
Society in general...40 is the new 30

Not implying anything, but I'm definitely implying actually.
Ovi is a beast and insanely talented. His caveman genes are what keep him strong.

Selanne also had 48 goals and 94 points at age 36. And he had 31 goals and 80 points at age 40.
Ovechkin as we know is 137 goals away from 894. Selanne from age 37 onward scored 144. If Ovie can match that, he's got it.

He's always been a physical beast.
His shot hasn't broken down yet, he's a bit slower of a skater but he had elite speed when he was younger so even though he's slowed down he's still not "slow", and his coaches know how to use him to his strengths. (High offensive zone starts and utilization)
