Did he actually go to a port of entry though? That's what I assumed initially, but from the sounds of it he was literally wandering around lost in no mans land and CBP had to basically save him from freezing to death.

Yeah i assumed he just hopped a fence somewhere near one of those ports. There are sensors and some monitoring but not a lot. Lots of open pasture out there to get lost in.

There’s a lot of the border that doesn’t even have a fence. Not sure about the particular area he crossed at.
