Clipping through the US with 130 limits is so nice. Coming back home

The utter incompetence at my company is unbelievable. 3 or so weeks ago I was scheduled training for tomorrow and I accepted an invite for it. The invitation only said that the training would be at our office with the office address provided. Late last week I was sent a reminder of the training and I asked if they had a meeting or training room booked. No reply. I emailed them again this morning to ask for a specific location and someone replied and said they didn't know where the training would be but they CC'ed some other people. I replied and told them that if they don't send me a specific location I will wait down in our main lobby tomorrow morning and someone can meet me and take me to the proper room.

Who schedules training or a meeting in this manner?

Better than my company, I'll just get a phone call out of the blue wondering where I am and asking why I'm late for the thing nobody told me about.

"We need you here in an hour" well it's 3 hours away so..... probably not going to happen

My stupid work laptop has the Fn and Ctrl keys reversed. It took me ages to figure out why I couldn't copy and paste anything.

Must have gotten a good deal on some cheap Chinese computers. I thought keyboards were standardized.

Reminds me of the days in computer class in high school when you'd switch out the keys on people who weren't familiar with the layout and watch them struggle.

Oh, and removing the balls from the mice (the computer mice, of course).

Keyboards and drains are both opposite in Australia

Reminds of some guys taking screenshots of the desktop, making it the wallpaper, and then removing all of the desktop icons.

Once upon a time you could play sounds remotely over networked computers in the lab. “Hey everybody! I am looking at porn!” was the favourite.

When you type a real word but auto-correct changes it to a different word.

No, I actually did mean “is”, not “in”.

Drives me extra nutty on Twitter when I can’t even edit it.

Obviously not a solution to the pot filler issue, but is there a reason why kitchen sinks don't have the overflow drains that tubs or kitchen sinks have? (Other than manufacturer expense.)

Maybe like that little wall between the two halves is lower than the perimeter lip so if one side overflows it just drains into the other side?

If you stand in your sink while you use it, it reduces the chance of it overflowing, becuase you can always step out and reduce the level a bit.

You can also determine the volume of your lower legs. Archimedes for the win!

Hey CIBC - take the VISA logo off my debit card. Daily I have to argue with cashiers that I am paying by debit and not by credit card.

Just get into the habit of covering the logo with your thumb so they don't automatically guess credit?
