I'd rather buy bitcoin than gold.

Conan O’Brien had so much fun with Dana Carvey on Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend that he decided to bring him back for a six-episode mini-series. In this limited series, Conan and Dana will further explore their friendship and spiral into comedy madness along the way. John Lennon and Paul McCartney will also make an appearance.

It is a Stitcher Premium exclusive. I subscribe so it's not a problem. The Stitcher app sucks so I use the unofficial feeds to add their podcasts to PocketCasts. It's run by a fan who posts on r/earwolf.

Listening to the history of rome on youtube. It's fairly decent if you're wanting to learn about roman history.

I was cry-laughing when Carvey did an impression of Jimmy Stewart getting primed to be orally pleasured. This is the only podcast episode I've listened to twice.

OMG, making sense with Sam Harris is incredible. I didn't really know his background before listening to a couple episodes, but what a unique person with unique perspectives.

It's particularly difficult to find real discussions the possibilities of consciousness that aren't either closed off and dismissive or open but lacking scientific credibility behind it.

This was kind of interesting. About the life and career of Steve Durbano. A player I vaguely remember, only because I think I still have a card of his in an old collection.

25 years later anyone who continues to be fascinated with the OJ Simpson trial needs to listen to Confronting OJ Simpson with Kim Goldman. Kim is the sister of murder victim Ron Goldman.

Quote:
25 years after the crimes that ignited the "Trial of the Century" Kim Goldman, sister of murder victim Ron Goldman, is digging deep into the vicious crime that changed her life, and many others, forever. Thrust into the public eye at the age of 22, Kim was devastated when OJ Simpson was found not guilty of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole and her brother Ron.

There has been much debate and confusion about what really happened the night of those brutal murders and for the first time Kim gets answers to questions that have been haunting her since the trial. She sits down with prosecutors, investigators, and witnesses who never got to speak and jurors who voted not guilty.

In this 10-part series, Kim takes you on a journey as she reclaims and reflects on the part of her life that was changed permanently.

I love Sam. My favourite podcast of his is #90,
https://samharris.org/podcasts/living-with-violence/

Even if you don't like Sam's stance on religion or Islam in particular, give this one a listen. It's truly spectacular and what a podcast should be

A new podcast I'm loving is "intelligence matters".
https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcas...s/id1286906615

It's with a guy named Michael Morell who used to be acting director of the CIA. It's my #2 listen right now behind Sam

I've been listening to Crime in Sports and Small town Crime.

2 Comedians going through the troubled history of athletes and small town crimes. Really funny and each episode is about 2.5 hours.

The OJ Simpson episode was awesome. And they only spent 5 minutes of the 2.5 hours discussing the potential murder and lawsuit.

Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey’s podcast recapping The Office premiered today. I’m shocked how much I liked it. They have great chemistry and obviously have some great insights into the making of the show. It’s a definitely recommend for fans of The Office.

One of my favs is:

tangentially speaking (by Chris Ryan - he's also been on Joe Rogan couple of times)

- Think he's a PhD psychologist by profession; also an author, but more importantly he's simply one good human
- trying to think of a "gateway" episode, but probably best to look at the guests and see who resonates with you as he has a wide variety
Maybe: #378 John Harrison (therapist, works with psychedelics, was once a fugitive!) and Daniele Bolelli #374 (History on Fire host) would be decent start

{I searched and didn't see this one come up, so apologies if a duplicate}

So.. the episode he did titled Scott literally had me weeping toward the end. The episode is about Scott, a former heroin addict who, to feed his addiction, would resort to selling his dad's things to a pawn shop.

One of the items he sells is his grandfather's Luger. Enter Jonathan who tries to find the Luger.

The end of the episode though - the father makes a comment and I just fell apart sobbing. I'd just gotten to work too, so I'm walking down the hallway - sweaty from my ride to work with tears just streaming down my face. It's one of the most powerful episodes of story telling and the way that Jonathan puts it all together.. man, incredible.
