It's not like the Flames are the first team to get rid of Neal...he has had an incredible run of luck this season

It's going to be a looooong season. Everything just keeps falling into place for the Oilers. League sure set them up with a pimple of schedule, but you have to give them credit, they have taken advantage of it. Play teams on the back end of back-to-backs and catch them tired where your one line playing 50% of the game doesn't come back to bite you.

I'll wait and see where they are at the end of November

Good pressure on that goal by the red wings leads to the right result.

Detroit on the board. 2-1.

Regarding the Oilers' fortunate start to the season, it'll be interesting to see how they respond once their schedule gets tougher and they actually have to face playoff caliber teams.

Definitely biased, but I don't watch Neal and think 'wow, he looks so good, he's so fast and involved now'.

He looks like the same skilled player who happens to be having a fantastic run of luck. Good for him, but he's getting a lot of ice time, including the PP, on a crappy team and is making the most of it. He would still be a bottom 6 player on the Flames.

The Higher they climb the harder they fall?

#### Neal. That selfish ######. I don’t think I dislike anyone more than Neal at this point.

Neal was basically a thief in Calgary. Did nothing, stole wages.

I don’t care how many he scores for Edmonton, I’m glad he’s gone. waste of space

Who the #### still cares how Neal does? He can score 100 for the Oilers, I don’t care. He was a pouty prima Donna that just thought he deserved a top 6 spot. If he was still on this team, he’d probably still be in the bottom 6 mailing it in. Let him get his goals with McDavid he’s just earning us an extra draft pick and when the Oilers have to eventually face some decent competition they’re going to free fall as usual. They’ve played 1 playoff team out of their first 8 games so far and 3 of their games have been against teams on the back half of a back to back. By comparison we’ve played 4 playoff teams and have faced 0 teams on the end of a back to back. Mark my words, this will be the Oilers peak for the season.

Anaheim is just snot bubbling the Hurricanes.

No idea how the Ducks are doing it again, but they're doing it again.

This period is the typical Oilers game plan where they run around in their own zone for long stretches, just barely hanging on. Wings are playing quite well and they've had some grade A chances, but unfortunately they haven't been able to finish.

Did I just hear that 34 shots is a season high for the Oilers? Yeah, that sounds like a team who deserves to be where they are...

The team in the west that is most worrisome and will be for years to come is the avalanche.
