Great game for the Flames. They still had tons of chances to make the score worse too. The one thing I really like is that the Flames played much better defensively compared to last couple games, good stuff. Smith played great as well! Like to see that. Big 2 points!
Hope Backs is alright.

Sure, Mike Smith got a shutout, but it’s not like he made any big saves. And besides, Minnesota is a crap team that any goalie can beat.

Beauty game by Smitty. Kept his team in it on a night where the team is outshot. His stickhandling was also a major asset tonight. I like this version of Mike Smith. Johnny was an absolute beast as well, he was everywhere. How insane is it that we have a top line RW on pace for 40+ goals and 90+ points locked up long term at less than 5 million? Here’s a little something to give you a chuckle:

Very intense game, it felt like a playoff atmosphere. Minny is a bunch of dirty pricks. Great home game for Smith, you have to feel good for him!
