Given that my natural team has always sucked/failed to live up to expectations, aside from the run to Euro final in 1988, I have to try to find joy in my hatred of Argentina and Brazil. The last two WC's have given me great happiness (the 7-1 game is saved on my movie drive) in this regard.

All I can imagine is if Costa Rica won a penalty with something like this, how apoplectic your reaction would be. Just accept it was a humiliating dive, cause everyone else has.

This game will be remembered for Coutinho’s fine driving efforts in central midfield and for some well-timed substitutions by Tite. But it will also be coloured by Neymar’s preposterous antics, and for a sense of lost focus at various stages.

Neymar getting ripped pretty good here. At least he got rid of those terrible extensions.

Lol, I see a hand being pressed on Neymar as he tries to cut back towards the ball. I said he embellished but there’s no doubt he lost his balance because he was leaned on. Could he have fought through it? Probably. And it was reviewed and I didn’t cry about the decision.
The play isn’t as nearly as egregious as you are making it seem.

Jesus Christ Beninho, it was a horrible dive and really embarrassing for him, Brazil, and soccer as a whole at this stage. Just accept it and move on.

Haha give me a break, hand in his mid section as he tries to cut across. I won’t argue it anymore, it’s funny how overblown it is tho.

It's funny how only Brazil fans think it's overblown. Everyone else finds it laughable.

Haha the country doesnt care what anyone else thinks, we care about how the team looks and they still have a lot of work to do but looked better when the proper players were used in the second half.
I was happy with the resolve after the penalty was disallowed, Brazil needs to handle adversity better and I thought they had a better response than they have had in the recent past. And yes i know it was just Costa Rica

That touch wouldn't knock my mum over while making Yorkshire puddings. I'm glad that VAR overturned it, and I hope that he's embarrassed by it. Eventually players might stop some of the theatrics if it stops getting calls.
That being said, I think that Brazil deserved the win and I'm glad it was done through more legitimate means.

Like I said I’m sure we will agree to disagree, he lost his balance while the other player had his hand on his mid section. He did embellish but it really isn’t as bad as some are saying. I’ve seen far far worse.

I am sort of half cheering for Serbia hoping for an unlikely Serbia v Croatia knock out game.
I don't know when that is possible tho as far as the brackets would go.

I'm thinking that maybe he thought it was going wide and he didn't want to deflect it back on target. More likely self-preservation though.

Serbia loses a penalty appeal that is even worse than the Kane ones.
Looks like the refs don't even want to go to VAR for these cases.
