Well the good news for the Michigan fans that made the trip is they can leave now and still have time to get to a decent South Beach bar before they get too full.

Never expected to win but hoped to not be embarrassed. Please put JJ in for the second half

There's no legitimate reason not to give McCarthy a go, Michigan barely got 100 yards of offense that half.

Can't imagine what people would be saying if this was Notre Dame instead of Michigan

I feel like both Cincinnati and Michigan had opportunities for a glimmer of hope and in both occasions the QB play let them down

This might actually put the dagger in an expanded playoff? The games before the final semi games are going to be as meaningful as bowl games are now.

Bring back the BCS, just modify it to allow for four team playoffs when it's justified.

The comeback is on. Just need three scores with three 2 point conversions in 4:25. Easy.

Yeah if this was the BCS it would have likely been Michigan-Alabama which is probably worst case scenario based on today’s results.

I think Cincinnati showed better than Michigan today and might have beat Michigan if that was the match up.

I still think an 8 team playoff could make sense. Take all 5 major conference champions and 3 at large teams.

This year that would have been.

Conference Champions: Alabama, Michigan, Baylor, Pittsburgh, Utah

At Large: Georgia, Cincinnati, Notre Dame

I kind of like it because it makes the conference championship games mean a lot if that’s a way into the national championship playoffs.

Honestly every season there are only two, maybe three teams that have a legitimate shot at winning but that is not a reason to go back to a BCS like process in my opinion. If anything that increases the risk in more people losing interest in the playoff and college football in general. Money talks which is why it will happen, but playoff expansion is still a good thing for the game as it keeps more people interested in the season as more teams are eligible. 8 teams seems like the sweet spot to me but I think it will go to 12 which works fine too. There will almost always be one or two upsets to make things interesting.

Last item, the actual true NCAA football championship will be Jan 8 between North Dakota State and Montana State. Watch that one if you get a chance too.

Make it like the Little League World Series. 4 SEC teams in a playoff for the SEC rep, and the rest of the field can come up with a format for the other finalist. Note statement is for absurdity...although this year it's likely true.

The playoff is good since you don't have opt outs and teams changing coaches which made most bowl games pointless. But this year in particular outside of the SEC no one else showed very well. In the end Cincinnati might be the third best team.

That would be another positive to expanding the playoffs. Also, NCAA needs to get rid of the early signing day for recruits in December.

That Fiesta Bowl was one of the most entertaining games so far this bowl season.

Also, Alabama now with the same number of playoff wins in AT&T Stadium as the Dallas Cowboys.

Kyle Whittingham, stud. Has to be the best coach nobody ever talks about.

The Rose Bowl is rather entertaining.

28-14 with 8 minutes left in the 1st half....Utah looking like an iteration of bygone Miami Hurricane teams.

Bad injury to a Buckeye as well...air cast on the entire leg.

This game is ridiculous.

5 TDs in the last 2:43 of game time.

ND now 0-10 in their last 10 NY6 bowl games. Haven’t won one since 1993.
