The oilers will play a couple more games against the sens to recuperate from that loss

Absolutely! And when the greaserville 2 (and friends) have to play other actual teams, it fits the narrative that the nhl and the schedule makers are against them.

Of course the trade off for wins versus Sens is that most valued, most desirable, absolute best oiler thing ever...more first overall picks!

Lol, love how the Oilers immediately get to play the Sens two more times after their loss last night. They just can't get away from the Tkachuks.

No doubt they'll probably win these two games and proclaim themselves Cup contenders again as a result. What a bunch of losers.

No doubt? I definitely harbour a fair bit of doubt. I was told before last night that the Flames would struggle with the Mighty Senators, and they just beat Edmonton. The Oilers have to play those two games in Ottawa, where they will undoubtedly once again need to ice Raisaitl and McAvi for upwards of 25 mins.

I think there is a good chance they don't win at least one of those games.

Connor McDavid played half the game.

I'm sure that sends a lot of encouragement through the rest of the roster.

That 6 minute shift sent a message to the other 16 skaters.

Imagine the Edmonton children who don’t understand why their peewee coach only gives them a 2 minute shift

As he should. Doesn't he make half of the remaining forwards' roster salary total?

I hope McDavid gets smoked into oblivion recklessly cutting to the net like that if he keeps doing it he's bound to end a goalies career. Not saying McWhatever can't play like that but if he does prepare to pay the price.

I've made this point in the PGT twice now.

He's playing a dangerous game. Remember when he had to have superhuman powers to put his knee back together from....being an idiot and charging the net at full speed expecting everyone to just...what? Let him do it?

He is still doing it.

If I was the goaltender that he ran he would have spent the entirety of his time in the penalty box extracting pieces of my blocker from his teeth.

Whilst you extract pieces of his teeth from your blocker. Fair trade.

No.

You leave them in there. As a warning to the next guy.

Thats top-shelf stuff. I mean...within the context of media personalities being fired all over the place, how does this ridiculous clown keep his job?

Kostinem isnt an NHL Goaltender you say?

Well...as much as I hate to admit it...even the most casual fan saw this far prior to his absolutely preposterous contract extension.

He may as well not even bother wearing a glove.

Even the insinuation that 'the book is out' on Kostinem is assuming there was a book in the first place and/or that there was any need for said same 'book.'

Kostinem is nothing but a 'You're Welcome (Mikko) and #### you Edmonton' from everyone's good friend Pete.

If there's one thing you can count on, it's Oilers fans who can't see the nose on their face...

Quote:
Didn’t read all 37 pages here but I hope there was lots of complaining about that disgraceful commentary on a national broadcast, with that awful call on the Gaudreau goal, and also the colour commentator stating at one point that “you love to see this pushback from the flames”. What a slap in the face to the tens of thousands of Oilers fans thinking they’re going to get neutral HNIC coverage.
and the reply to that post...

Quote:
Oh buddy you missed an awesome amount of us venting about how terrible and amateur hour that broadcast was. IMO, that was the worst in Oilers history. Bunch of us even emailed Sportsnet feedback to complain about it.
