Not even doing this as a RIP type of thread. But Jack Chick a cartoonist who made bizarre judgemental fear monger fire and brimstone cartoons died today.

His messaging to me was horrible, basically everyone was going to hell, gays, woman, men, dogs, abortionists. In his world Hell was going to have a serious serious over population problem.

But at the same time that to me these cartoons were a product of what I think was a disturbed man, they were unintentionally hilarious.

Chick's naked hatred of Catholics, Jews and Muslims were the tip of the iceberg. Dark Dungeons will always be my "favorite" however.

I remember a long time ago there was some guy in Calgary who would go around and leave all the anti-Catholic ones in front of all the Catholic high schools and junior highs around the city at the bus stops and such. What a wanker.

My folks loved these things. Dad kept a stack of them for years, to hand out. Why he stopped, I never asked. Maybe someone threatened to punch his face in, wouldn't surprise me. Those things were heinous.
