Really solid game by the boys. The Yotes worked hard and had some zone time, but it was mostly around the perimeter and they were largely unable to get the puck into dangerous areas.
The Flames, conversely, are so much better on the transition and are able to split seams in the offensive zone and create good scoring chances. Even with the top line struggling, the Flames were so much more dangerous with their zone time than the Yotes were.
On a side note, the girl singing the anthems had an amazing voice! The whole kids theme was pretty entertaining, and I can't get the little announcer's voice out of my head: "goal by numbuh 10, Dehwek WWWyan! Pretty cute.

In the 3rd they did the Lion King thing on the jumbotron. Some guy lifts up his little girl and she just starts balling. But he keeps holding her up there, not realizing she’s crying. I lol’d.
Good game. Some sloppy defence at times and it felt like we were chasing the play. But they picked it up in the 3rd. Felt it was a strong game all around except the top line. Still seem to be fighting it a bit.
Andersson let some bombs go on the PP from the point. Love to see more of that.

I love PP2 now. Ever since they put Andersson on that line and gave Bennett the carries it has actually become dangerous. Great to see.
Andersson just firing it from the point is a fun to watch.

This x100,000 on the anthem singer. How do we get her full time? Sooooo much better than George Canyon.
And agreed the announcer kid was hilarious. He was getting pretty into it.

Only managed to catch the game up to the 1st yotes goal, nice to wake up to a win. I much prefer when we celebrate a win rather than that small percentage that moan even when we win.

The Anthem Singer - well she immediately needs to be hired. Best singer I've heard in a long long time.

That was the first time in awhile that the anthem was sung at the correct tempo, and wasn't over sung with all kinds of stupid pitch changes. Not sure I'm using the right words here, because I'm not a musician, but man do they botch the anthem more often than not.
