I dunno, I think the Canucks are overrated.

Can't even beat a depleted Kings team.

Preds win, Kings likely to win.

Flames 7 points out.

Just a brutal night on the OOT. Sucks the Flames only had two games this week.

Shutout watch in Seattle as the Kraken just scored a power play goal by Wennberg, 2-0 Kraken with five minutes left in regulation time!

I was about to take pleasure in the Kings walloping the Canucks but then remembered the Flames are chasing them.

Watching SN coverage here and Tocchet seems a bit shell shocked.
Pressure is on all of a sudden.

The NHL's ridiculous blackout policy prevented me from seeing my guys get destroyed by Colorado 5-0. Saved me 3 hours of aggravation, I guess, but, the policy is so incomprehensible, that I never get to see my guys play either Vegas or Colorado with my ESPN+ sub.

Think the preds taking off will seal the Flames fate. At least it makes things easier for Conman.

On the bright side, it will provide clarity on what this team needs to do at the deadline.

Hanging on to Marky could prove to be a mistake.

Still think there's value in markstrom mentoring Wolf after seeing Wolf stumble a bit early.

If you aren't getting the package you want for him don't just trade him anyways.

True, but the package he would bring back in the offseason or next year's deadline could be substantially worse.

Canucks went from zero expectations, not even playoffs to "Cup Contenders" in a couple months. Its easier to play with zero expectations IMO.

Panthers officially 1st in the league. Getting to the finals last year and now being 1st in the league 3/4 of the way through the season shows they are a legit team. Interested to see what they do at the deadline.

Canucks could realistically finish as low as 8th overall. If they lose in the first two rounds that would put that pick somewhere between 25th and 21st overall.

They won the President's trophy two years ago. They've been legit for a while now.

I like your optimism, but I don't see it. They are currently +22, with VGS +13 and EDM +15. Those are big deficits to close.

However, at least they have dropped from 1OA to where every other division leader is ahead of them now. So that helps.

Best case scenario based on the current standings is that none of VAN, FLA, NYR or WPG make the conference finals, and that would put the pick at 25th.

The Predators win their 7th straight game, talk about a wake up call to go on this streak. It all started a 9-2 loss at home.

The Red Wings had their 6 game winning streak stopped as the Islanders defeated them 5-3. Barzal scored the GWG with 6 minutes left in reg time.
