Tell Dougie not to worry about coming back.

Trading assets to try to sneak into the playoffs when the issues are far beyond goaltending is a firable offense IMO.

Conroy will need to find another dance partner.
Seems like the team motto, there is always next year. Never ending rebuilds, what a nightmare. If the issues are far beyond goaltending that team is a long ways off from being a contender.

The difference between winning and losing in the NHL is razor-thin. At some point, you have to commit to the team and do what needs to be done to push your team to the next level.

This is a watershed moment for the Devils. Throwing away another season sends a terrible message to the players.

That's extremely melodramatic. Pray tell how not overpaying for a goaltender is a watershed moment for the franchise.

You don't get a better goaltender, you say bye-bye baby to the playoffs almost certainly for this year, but also likely hobble your chances for future years too.

Get a legit great goalie, you likely save your season for this year, and you become a potential powerhouse for upcoming seasons too.

He's worth alot to many teams, but he's especially worth almost pure gold to your team.

Janko scored. That's a rarity at the NHL.

Winning breeds winning. And losing breeds losing.

There's an old saying that goaltending is 70% of hockey. Unless you don't have it, then it's 100%.

The Devils look like they've lost their mojo - they need a boost.

Didn't watch the game as I'm at work. A bit worrisome about how they are losing but I'm viewing this season as playing with house money considering where they were expected to be. Sort of reminds me of when the Flames in the Peters season where they out of nowhere pulled out a 107 point season.

Patrick Kane is still an elite offensive player. Nearly point per game after hip surgery

Maybe there's still some early stages chemistry issues but they haven't been very good since trading for Lindholm.

Preds won their 3rd in a row and are solidly in 9th, half a game out of a playoff spot.

Hopefully this takes Saros off the market.

Roy pulled goalie with 10 minutes left in the 3rd period.
