Yeah I guess the Bond title is fine. Maybe I’m just jaded because I didn’t like Skyfall or Spectre and was hoping they’d move on from Craig to someone fresh.

Spoiler if you care (not really it's well known news):

I agree that Spectre wasn't very good, but I thought Skyfall was outstanding. It's easily one of my favorite Bond flicks.

I thought Skyfall was entertaining with some good action and really fun fan service call backs but damn there is too much in there that makes my brain hurt. Then again I really like Quantum (title aside) so what do I know.
Spoiler!
-It features the MacGuffinest MacGuffin that ever MacGuffined.
-Bond was pretty much dead after the intro and you give us no explanation on how he survived?!?
-The villain getting captured on purpose had become a trope by this point and looking at 2012 movies Avengers did it better.
-The ending reminded me of Home Alone. Probably not a good thing in a serious action movie.

So is this Terminator ignoring all the bad movies and just continuing from T2?
This is a direct sequel to T2. Amazing what time travel can do to a canon.
Terminator is such a simple concept. I have no idea why the studios can't get it straight.
Send a terminator back from the future. Have some bad-ass chase scenes. Throw in a couple of scenes of the terminator engaging law enforcement/the military. Have a scene with the protagonist shooting some crazy guns at it. End it in a final dramatic chase where the protagonist barely gets away.
They always have to get too cute with the gimmics and time travel plots. Just focus on the action pieces. This is one franchise that does require and can get by on some big action sets.
its kinda weird that if it was just the girl and the "enhanced" woman I probably would have glossed right over this one.
But with Linda Hamilton and especially Arnie back it adds a certain credibility that I might have to see this one.
Arnie is pure cheese with a hint of awfulness, but god damn do I love him in that role.
Strange how a massive bodybuilder with a thick Austrian accent perfectly fits the role of an infiltration robot that is supposed to easily blend in with a group of post-apocalyptic fighters in America.
"Hey Joe, who's that huge Austrian guy wearing leather and carrying a massive gun? I dunno, never seen him before, but we'd better let him in."
