I almost thought the Red Wing goalie was going to slide right into the net with the puck on that last break away.

If the POs started today we'd get the canucks.

Can't get a much better matchup than that. We haven't played out best games against them but if the Flames brought their A game they would demolish those kids.

I know you saw a 1 but I think the win still technically counts as a shutout

Funny, I was thinking how the Flames are one of the few teams that the Canucks could meet in the first round and pull a series out of just earlier today...

Not that I expect the Canucks to be in the play-offs come April.

Why do you think they're one of the few that could do it?

Flames difficulty with Markstrom/Pettersen? I personally think the Flames only showed up for 2 or 3 periods in the season series to this point due to their rough start (with Smith x2) and looking past them in the last game. I think the canucks could take a game or two but the Flames would be able to assert dominance over a series. The nucks have very little offensive firepower to match the Flames in that category.

Green is doing a hell of a job getting as much as possible out of his team. But the Nucks simply don't have another gear. And they don't have depth. If they make the playoffs (they won't) they will get destroyed by whoever they play.

If they were to make the playoffs, their opponent wouldn't take them lightly, like what happens on a nightly basis right now.

That's exactly it too, I don't think many teams take them seriously. I'll admit i dont going into games with them, and I'm wary of most teams. And good on them for taking advantage, but.. It won't hold up if they're in a series with a top 2 team with everything on the line.

So there's two Kempes, Kuemper, Kampfer, Compher, Kampf, and Kempny. I don't think I'll ever be able to keep them straight.

It’s always fun to see the Maple Leafs lose, but with this result Arizona moves within one point of the Oilers.

What’s happening? With our injuries we have no business being this close to a playoff spot.

Wow

So the Coyotes beat the Leafs in Toronto 4-2
Leafs have lost 6 of their last 7 at home. That team looks in total disarray right now and Babcock looks like he's on the verge of a mental breakdown.

El Nino scores on their first shot of the game!

Oilers losing immediately... hilarious!

Principe and Remenda are on another level for the opening of the game tonight... If you haven't, watch what Remenda says about "Connor" and how he handled Calgary's handling of him:

Quote:
The mental toughness. The character toughness. The character fortitude. The unwavering, unstaggering 'I'm going to keep going at you'. Absolutely love, that's what a Captain's all about.
And then Principe: "There they are! It's the Edmonton Oilers" as they take to the ice.

Is it just me or do we hear a lot more swears during games now. Do they put mic's on the ice or something?

Took a trip to read the leafs board...they’ve gone from planning a cup parade to wanting to fire babcock within 7 games...I think they’re overrating their team a touch

Oh yeah. He handled it so well with his 0 points and -1.

What a captain!
