Kane is a great player it was a dumb comment with zero relevance to the event being discussed.

Besides Gaudreau would probably own that event like he has the puck control
You are right Dino I take it back.

I was referring to Kane the player.

It was a dumb comment made in the wrong context.

It’s a constant struggle. Not to mention they sit around cold for hours... expecting too much out of them could be risky.

There’s barely any fighting in the nhl
How can that be considered a large factor?

Maybe not fighting but physicality for sure...I wouldn't watch the NHL if it was no hit.

Besides the NHL is great because it's the best players...as far as I know women can play in the NHL if they are good enough.

Doesn't Chapelle do a bit about this and the NBA?

I feel like this shooting the pucks from the stands in the skills competition could use some authenticity.

Maybe bring in Mike Milbury to beat the crap out of a couple of fans with their own shoes!!

Am I the only one that thinks they should do something with the hardest shot competition. As it is it’s just a bit lame.

Either get goalies in there stopping those pucks or get the dmen trying to block them. Hell,a forward and a dman fighting in front for position or a tip in would make it pretty interesting.

Sounds like an injury waiting to happen...

The hardest shot is the one event I enjoy in its "lame" glory.

I've always thought this through all the changes they've made. Thankfully they haven't made some stupid change to that event too. The only thing they should change in hardest shot is have more shooters.

Or have the shooters shoot the pucks using a wood stick and whatever stick they are using now. Like the first shot wooden stick and the second shot the stick they are using now.

Rittich the savage.

"(Matthew) was awful."

How do you think Brady did?
"Oh even worse. I'm not surprised because we have the better Tkachuk on our team, right?"

I laughed one time when they cut to a shot of the crowd cheering for Tkachuk and you could see a (presumably) father and son in Oilers jerseys pouting.

I too enjoy the hardest shot. Made even better with the slow mo capturing how much flex those sticks go through.

This may be a little too gimmicky but I think it’d Be a laugh to have watermelons, jello, or other strange things strewn about to see what kind of carnage those shots can do.

Ballistics dummies. Who can sink the puck the deepest. "Your shot will kill"

I watched it with my son. He loved all of it. Great event. He liked seeing players from other teams and without their helmets.

Weird question, after watching Bettman, is he sick?

He has hand tremors and he just sounds different.

Hasn't he always had tremors of some kind?

From 10 years ago:

His head shakes constantly when he talks.

It's been speculated for years he has Parkinson's symptoms but so far nothing for sure.
