As with all the Monty Python members, he was an integral part of an incredible comedy sensation that I personally grew up and revelled in. Life of Brian is my favourite MP movie, which he directed and also played one of my favourite characters in Meaning if Life.
RIP Fat Man, RIP

I swear the pythons must have had a secret pact with Graham Chapman (another passed away member of the group) where they aren't allowed to get sentimental in public about him or his death. I remember seeing a documentary on Chapman and every time any of the pythons spoke about him, they were completely ruthless but holding back tears at the same time. Once I realized what was going on, it became really sweet to see them staunchly holding on to what I assumed was a promise to dying friend. It was probably hard on the surviving members to carry on like that and Terry doesn't seem to be getting that treatment:
Palin added: "Terry was one of my closest, most valued friends. He was kind, generous, supportive and passionate about living life to the full.
"He was far more than one of the funniest writer-performers of his generation, he was the complete Renaissance comedian - writer, director, presenter, historian, brilliant children's author, and the warmest, most wonderful company you could wish to have."

as the subheadline of his online obit today read..."a very naughty boy..."
such a funny man. I think the Palin/Jones team were sometimes in the shadow of the Chapman/Cleese pair
I was lucky enough to see Chapman live before he died.... and I've seen Pythons talk about him- little doubt Matata you are right the other guys are just needling him even in death...(they clearly loved him)
I saw Cleese the last time through Calgary and he was ripping on all of them too (in a kind way)...essentially just dismissing Jones "and Terry...well he's Welsh.."
