Thumbs up Ongoing Music Recommendation Thread

I'm looking to make a Music Recommendation Thread. Obviously, it's self centered because I am looking for recommendations, but perhaps this could be the ongoing 'help' thread for music.

For example, I'm looking for things similar to Maxence Cyrin

I have two of his albums, but I'm looking for something similar. Piano heavy, musically light.

Fire away, my pretties!

Have you heard any pieces by Ludovico Einaudi?

Love this song.

Just realized you might be looking for other cover artists, Einaudi is not that.

This thread needs life support. Where's all the music junkies throwing their suggestions out?

No kidding, I thought this topic would have bloomed.

Ok, someone give me another suggestion.

I really like Ibrahim Ferrer, what else should I give a listen to along those lines (and yes, I know Buena Vista Social club)?

The Tuareg group releases their fifth studio album, fusing blues and styles of the nomadic people of the Sahara.

Something that this reminded me of is the piano at the beginning of the composition Nevertheless, by Georgs Pelecis. It also has violin and chamber orchestra in it, but you might like it:

On the subject of piano covers of popular music, check out Brad Meldau's stuff, if you haven't already. His radiohead stuff is brilliant:

This may not be what you are looking for but I honestly think the piano in this track is second to none. Give it a chance as it builds slowly. The percussion is a solid accompaniment. A surprising piece considering the group.

They mix swing with heavy metal, opera, jazz... It's a fun listen. And the mask only had swing and a young Diaz. This is just one of their songs. You can download a free album off of the "free torrent" downloads section attached to BitTorrent. Along with ted talks and other things.
