Yeah that is a strange take.

Dallas is the most complete and deep team in the West...led by Robertson up front and Heiskanen on the blue line. Add in Oetinger who can be the best player on the ice at times, and they are as formidable an opponent as exists IMO.

Stars in 4 or 5 is my guess.

Perfect match up to eff the Flames on their draft pick conditions so of course it's what happened. Lol

Dallas will probably beat Vegas keeping the Vegas pick a 3rd and then lose in round 2 negating the Dallas pick from going to the Flames.

I'm mentally prepared for all the worst case scenarios lmao

Dallas in 7. We have a pick that depends on it?

I dunno, I just don't see Robertson take games over with his talent very much. Maybe I haven't seen him enough lately, but the point production flies under the radar. I view him as a star player, just not a superstar that can put the team on his back.

He's not paid as a superstar, though. I'd take the Dallas structure over having McJesus any day.

For whatever reason it appears the Knights may have preferred this matchup for the Oilers given their no-show last night. Not sure if it's going to work out for them as the Stars are the most complete team in the conference.

Dallas in 6, and I think they go all the way this year.

Was a stupid decision in that case.

Canucks / Oilers / Preds is a much easier side of the bracket than Stars / Jets / Avs

Knights just haven't been playing very good and think they just straight up lost last night. Stupid Knights had one job though.

When all players are available Vegas is the most complete deepest team in the playoffs in either Conference. That's what you can do with cap shenanigans.

My heart says Dallas, but it would be nice to get that 3 upgraded to a 2nd if Vegas wins.

Honestly my mindset is on which teams have the best chance of beating the Oilers even if it means we lose out on an upgraded pick.

I think Dallas is deepest team in the West and will have best chance at beating Oilers.

Probably this was a view based on the Calgary series where he was a complete ghost.

They have Heiskanen for that. And Oettinger.

Sure but many players struggle in their first playoff appearance - especially if their team isn't the clear favourite - or even their first two or three series. We'll see how he performs in this series but I'm pretty bullish on him after an impressive playoffs last year.

This one feels like it should go 7, but I also see Dallas taking it in an "easy" 4/5.

Does Oettenger play like he played the Flames 2 years ago with that crazy sv%, or is he more like his regular season self?

Dallas is the most solid team I've seen in the west in a while.

Vegas might be getting its weapons back but Dallas is already rolling heading in. Not sure Vegas will be prepared/ready to handle them.
