Flames 3 - Sharks 5
Flames back down to earth? Not doing well against Western conference opponents. We'll see this month if they're actually the hot team of the first quarter of this season, or actually a team that's mixed in the middle of the pack.

Sucks to lose two in a row, but at least it wasn't a blowout or anything.
When does the Flames' schedule get any easier? These guys gotta be feeling it by now

Flames were the far better team...lost the goal tending battle and Lucic missed an empty net

Flames are, I think, a tired team that’s played a ton of hockey, especially on the road. Some mental errors and a little loss of structure tonight.

The Flames have lost 2 games in a row. Not 5. For a game they supposedly didn’t deserve to win they still outshot the Sharks by almost 20 shots.
Let’s not get overly negative. They blew this one but are still in 1st place. Far too early to claim they’re falling back to earth.

Flames are still good, sharks didn’t belong on the ice for most of the game, but the 3rd pair decided to take this one over.
Hill made more good saves than Vladar too, but I don’t think Vladar was bad. Just too many stupid chances against.

Flames play BY FAR their best game during this 4 game road trip and lose.
Tough loss to accept, but really they only deserved 2-3 points this trip so leaving with 4 is a W.
Awful showing from Zadorov-Gudbranson, and Kylington had his worst game of the season with the puck on his stick. Vladar was the 2nd best goalie on the ice by a mile tonight, which hasn't been the case every other start so you can give him a pass.
Very well played game overall despite lots of sloppiness

California trips are the hardest and now we had to stop in Vegas...Flames players weren't committed. Simple as that. Really means nothing in the grand scheme of things but disappointing they always seem to suck there.

Still a point ahead of the Johnson's Whiny Baby Oil

Would have been nice to put some distance in the standings with the greasers losing.
Gotta give Sutter credit on his not pulling the goalie policy, Vladar seemed to work through his shaky start and looked decent in the 3rd.
Next game will be a challenge, need a big win there.

Strange one. The Flames dominated and looked like they were cruising to an easy win before the Sharks scored 3 straight out of the blue.
Vlader finally looked like a backup and was drastically outplayed by Hill.

Sucks. I didn’t see the entire game but kind of thought they deserved better. Even though SJ’s goals weren’t lucky.

Why didn't they supposedly deserve to win?

Flames clearly outplayed the Sharks tonight. A couple of defensive breakdowns ended up in the back of their net and it cost them the game.
What better way to bounce back than to beat the Canes on Thursday!
