Canadian kid Jordan Romano tearing up AA ball through 3 starts so far this season.

17 K's in 19 innings, to only 4 walks and a 1.42 ERA

Gurriel is starting at 2nd. I'm guessing Travis probably needs some time to deal with his foot.

27th Ranked Prospect according to MLB pipeline. Good Fastball-Slider combo suggests that he could see play as a reliever (he was the closer for Oral Roberts when he was drafted) if starting doesn't work out.

Other then Bo & Vlad I'm pretty interested in the two other prominent bloodline players that the Jays have in the system...

Cavan "son of Craig" Biggio: MIF/2B currently hitting .273/.359/.576 in AA which is way more power then he's displayed in the past but he's always had good plate discipline.

Kacy "son of Roger" Clemens: 1B hitting .324/.540/.500 in lo-A Lansing. A .540 OBP is kinda crazy (apparently his 1B defense is great... for whatever that's worth).

Yeah, Clemens looks like he needs to move up a level.

Speaking of those guys!

Quote:
Craig Breslow is 37 years old, with a dozen years of experience as a left-handed reliever in the major leagues. He is pitching now for the Class AA New Hampshire Fisher Cats, just getting to know his teammates. In their opening series here, at Dunkin’ Donuts Park against the Hartford Yard Goats, third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. amazed him.

“Last night Vlad made a throw across the diamond, and I was like, ‘I didn’t realize he had that arm!’” Breslow said. “And then I thought: ‘I kind of should have. Why wouldn’t he?’ His dad could do it all.”

Reminders of familiar greatness run deep in the infield of the Fisher Cats, an affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. On a recent Saturday night, Cavan Biggio led off and played second base, with shortstop Bo Bichette hitting second and Guerrero, the third baseman, batting third. All three doubled by the fifth inning, just as their fathers did 1,546 times across a combined 50 seasons in the majors.

Sure would be nice if some of those young guys panned out. Maybe a guy like Lourdes too. Then trade JD for a decent young player or two and all of a sudden the future is looking pretty bright.

Teoscar! 2 run shot ties it up.

Man, he's looking good.

Hernandez has been quite the surprise, loving the youth movement that’s beggining for the Jays. If Hernandez ends up being a stud all season that’s an incredible trade for Liriano.

Oh Estrada...

The Yankees have gotten a lot of soft hits this series.

Can't leave a pitch like that for Stanton, the dude is too strong. He just swats it out.

Estrada vs Stanton, ya that was bound to happen. Should of just walked him. Estrada giving me R.A Dickey vibes, been horrific for 2 seasons.

Morales should have scores twice now. Can someone put him on a treadmill?

Just stepping on a treadmill could put him on the DL
