Champions League kicking off with Toronto dismantling Colorado in leg 1 away so far up 2-0 with a lair of away goals.

They've added Van Der Wiel, Auro and Aketxe three players who are all in their prime years coming in with incredible pedigrees, a world cup finalist, Brazilian youth international and la liga player albeit a sub. Edwards out and Cheyrou retired. Going to be tough to beat again I think though they could probably use one more forward for cover as Ricketts seems to ha e developed a chronic health issue. Will be interesting to see if Atlanta has closed the gap with their high profile signings, how far TFC goes in the champions league, what Mtl's rebuilt backline looks like and if Vancouver's reshuffling pays dividends.

TFC must be clear favorites to repeat. They're the only club without holes in their roster.

I'm interested to see LAFC this year. Their new stadium is going to be rockin. Carlos Vela has looked good in pre season.

As good as TFC were last year, they improved with the signings of van der Wiel and Auro. Outside of Atlanta, I don't think anyone is even close to their level of talent.

From the Canadian point of view, Montreal have a lot of young Canadian talent from the national team in Piette, Petrasso, Jackson-Hamel and Edwards, and Shamit Shome has been getting a lot of starts this preseason. Don't think they'll be good this year, but I'm interested in seeing what these players do this year.

As for the Whitecaps, meh. They're a Carl Robinson team and may make the playoffs or may look terrible, who knows.

I didn't get to watch but yeah that was a big win against maybe the best team in mexico. Still tough going down there needing at least a draw or an away goal though... Will be fun to watch next week.

3-2 now. Crappy thing is there should have been a goal kick about a minute earlier but the refs didn't call it. Could've all been avoided.

Doesn't get any easier for TFC, next up is Club America. But if they can beat Tigres, they can beat anyone in Mexico.

This El Traffico is ####ing mad.

LAFC dominates LA galaxy and go up 3-0 50 minutes in. LAFC supporters then start Ole'ing LA Galaxy supporters in their own stadium. LA Galaxy score 30 seconds later. Zlatan comes on, volleys the keeper from 40 yards out, then scores a goal in injury time to win. Zlatan was offside for the winning goal, but VAR apparently doesn't want to ruin a good story and doesn't get involved.

I'm not sure that goal was offside. He looks slightly behind the ball on the replay.

He was offside quite a bit before the play, and then never got back onside
