David Rittich and the Flames PP was the only thing better in those games. The rest of the game looked very similar to how they looked against Ottawa.
They were destroyed in both those games against the Leafs but they got a lucky result.
The scariest part though is Geoff Ward said he thought they were playing the system well after those two games. Even though they were like 30% expected goals for in those games.

Something that was brought to my attention while watching the Leafs/Oilers game...it is actually legal to enter the opposing teams zone during the power play without a “bump back” pass.

Does Sportsnet or anyone else post TV ratings for regional games? I really want to know who is still watching this ####. I’m very curious if ratings have fallen off a cliff or if there are any truly sadistic animals out there still tuning in.

I watch every second of pretty much every game. I’m a disturbed human though.
After the last loss to Ottawa I actually ordered a Flames 1989 Stanley Cup Champions banner off Amazon just to cheer me up. After the loss today I put it up in the man cave.
I might need professional help.

I noticed a few people commenting on the warmup being a problem.
Did I miss something?
A few players crashed into each other keystone cops style, then a player carelessly shot the puck and hit Monahan in the dome.. But that still didn't wake Monny up

I cancelled my Sportsnet channels when Covid-19 hit as there wasn't any sports to watch. Still haven't re-subscribed and so glad I haven't based on how this team's played this year. Still follow them but can't invest like I used to. My sanity is worth more to me.

Here's what I had to say tonight... unfortunately Pat's side of the convo didn't get captured in my recording but it should be relatively easy to fill in the blanks.

Low bar, but Monahan was the most engaged Flame not named Lucic. Easily the best Flame on the top two lines over the game.
