He is pretty much at the minimum value contract and just gives flexibility with the taxi squad. I wonder if we see some call ups from Stockton (Philips maybe)

What did you expect? I'd be far more concerned with the mainstays on the roster, and just how bad they've been.

I didn't expect a lot from Simon given he put up pedestrian stats playing with one of the best players in the world but Leivo has been a disappointment as he hasn't created anything offensively and looks like an AHL talent. I can't fault the GM for dumpster diving due to limited cap space but neither has worked out.

Yeah he's been very disappointing. He looked faster when he was in Vancouver and maybe this goes back to the higher tempo game the Canucks played. Or maybe he just hasn't fully healed from his injury.
Also, for a guy with a good shot, the guy never shoots. I'll never understand guys who have a decent shot who don't shoot the puck. He's passed up so many shots to try and make a nice pass that ends up going no where.

It's hard to put all the blame on them, Ward's system has made a lot of far better players look like AHL talent too.
