Wasn't he signed for expansion requirements as well?

The rules were different for skaters and goalies. Ritchie needed to actually be under contract to meet the skater exposure requirement, but as an pending RFA goalie, Parsons only needed to be given a qualifying offer.
He could have rejected the offer and become a RFA, but he probably realized it was the best offer he was going to get (especially if he had no intention of getting vaccinated), so he signed it.

Lifetime Suspension

Pelletier still rolling after Ruzicka's recall is impressive and Zary will be fine, spectacularly rough start but not worried.
Tyler Parsons ceiling is subterranean. Played one game last year and will play zero this year. Before that he played 80 games in three seasons, putting up pathetic numbers in the AHL and just okay in the ECHL. Not like he tore it up and has been unfortunate this year, he refuses to play because of his own stupidity. Insanely lucky to be qualified last year, hope he's enjoying his last ever NHL contract.

Unless I'm mistaken, he is "suspended without pay" (or whatever the NHL/AHL equivalent is) because he refused the vaccine and so can not play due to his own pigheadedness. So, by "enjoying his last NHL contract" you really mean "telling the ladies in the bar that he is a NHL player - see I have a contract and everything - before begging them to pick up the tab for his drinks because he doesn't actually have any money".
It is a shame - when he was first drafted i had high hopes for him. Shows what a crap shoot goalies can be. Our current best goalie prospect was what, a 7th round pick?
Crazy.

Parsons is on SOIR after aggravating a previous injury.

Okay, I had to look up SOIR

So basically, he's just chilling out in Ann Arbour.

Having a consistently high save percentage is a very promising sign for goaltending prospects.

Wolf doing it in Junior (which is higher variance) and AHL (which is high skill and sloppier) is actually more impressive to me.
Wolf has to be the top goaltending prospect in the NHL right now

In a similar, but different (position) way he's like Gaudreau. Told he's too small, but performs at every level and stage of his career.

I think size is the most overrated aspect of goaltending. Even though big goalies are the trend (and it gives them a huge edge in games where their team dominates lesser opponents) when the opposition has elite scoring skill, it still comes down to athleticism, anticipation, hockey-sense, timing, mental strength, focus, etc. And in the playoffs, the opponent usually has elite scoring skill and it becomes far more important to be able to slide from left-to-right to get that Stamkos one-timer off a Hedman feed, and then to the left where Kucherov got the rebound over to hedman, and then from centre to left to get that kucherov one-timer off a hedman feed-oh-wait kucherov faked you out and slid it over to Point for another one-timer in the slot.
Size isn't stopping that. Agility is. And dumb luck. If anything, I think size is detrimental to agility. What's going to turn a corner faster, a Ducati or a '68 Charger?
Dustin Wolf is a Ducati.

I totally agree with your sentiments about Wolf, but if you took a poll of scouts, GMs, and other pundits, they would put Wolfie behind “the Big Three” of Askarov, Wallstedt, and Cossa. I still like Wolf for the reasons you stated-his brains, athleticism, and compete.

Askarov, then Wolf, then the other two.

Wolfie was first star, stopping 30 of 31. He is now 12-0-2 with a GAA of 1.83 (3rd), .941% (2nd). He is 7th in the AHL in minutes played, at 853:13.
