I am moving from Glenbrook to McKenzie Towne on April 5th. I am going to miss the pizza that I can get by my place. Spot On (Caruzo crust) Sophie’s, and Richmond Pub are all really good pizza spots.
What is the best place in the McKenzie area?

So I found out when visiting those seedy Pizza by the Slice places in downtown for desperation pizza (everything else was closed) that if you ask for a personal pizza - ie: something not decaying and dehydrating in the heating rack, they will make it fresh and it's pretty damn good!

We picked up some Pizza from Lina's at 130th Ave Se this weekend.
It was good. I have had better, but the cost for the quality was bang on.
A 12" Margarita pizza was $12.
My wife and I each had different 12" pizza's mine was a spice sausage set up, and that was only $15.
I ordered it during the day and when I picked it up buddy was pulling it out of the oven.
I recommend it.

Tried Una pizza in their new bridgeland location. Excellent pizza and pasta! Love the set up. That new building with Una, Phil and Sebastian, and Village ice Cream is absolutely buzzing. Bridgeland is really rocking these days and I suspect it will become even better when all the new buildings and the final phase of the bridges is complete.

I don't know if this is weird or not, as I haven't known any friends, work colleagues or even family other then my parents and brother that make pizzas at home with pitas and naan bread. Does anyone else do this?
I do order the occasional pizza (Crispy Crust Pizzeria is my favourite) but I highly prefer to buy my own ingredients and do it that way in the oven at home.

your in luck as there is a papa johns and a panago in the area.......seriously though, as per UCB, Liana is a surprisingly solid offering. there is no little local mom and pop shop in the area - yet.
I have not tried Bowtie or Pink Door, but they both get some love on the neighborhood facebook page

There was a different name on the pink door building when I drove past a few days ago, is it still open?

To the best of my knowledge yes it is.
There is a Mexican place running out of the "front", I'd love to hear if it is any good, but Pink Door will continue to run out of the "back", you pick it up at the bar SW corner door.

Add Olive Grove and Jon's to the list. Also in the south are Top's and Crispy Crust. And if you don't mind a jaunt over to Shawnessey, try Paul's Pizza.

Not weird at all, we do it all the time. One in awhile we'll order takeout but most of the time we build our own, that makes it easy for everyone to get what they want. Flatbread, pita bread, or just buy premade dough. It all works equally well.

OG used to be our go to for year, then the kids did not like it, so we have not been there for a while. i am sure in this discussion someone said it is a shell of it's former glory.
so, have you had it recently.

edit: Ohhhhh, there's a place called Olive Grove Pizza. I was thinking you were referring to Olive Grove restaurant in Midnaopre that one of the hockey moms owned on our team. Pretty sure that's long gone.

I work pretty early mornings so I get totally screwed out of most good pizza places as I need to eat around 3ish, while most non chains open at 4. So annoying.
Crispy Crust had it where they would take my call at like 330 and have it ready literally as they opened the door at 4, but since their renovation the phone won't ring through until 4 now.

Full disclosure, it's probably been 6 months since I've had Olive Grove so it's possible it's slipped in that time. We've always had good luck.

Next to Pie Junkie. They are associated with Half Hitch Brewing and use their spent mash for the crust so sounds interesting. They opened a little over a week ago.
Haven't tried it yet, probably will this weekend.
