Biden is slightly better for the world than Trump, but not much. He's a product of the system, and still a piece of #### that will do everything in his power to pack the court. He's no saint, the system is broken. If he wins, people shouldn't celebrate, but mourn the loss of the Republic. This was the best the Democrats could do after 4 years of Trump. It's embarrassing.
Even the worst the democrats have to offer is country miles better than Trump.
Biden might be a product of the system but he will get America out of their mess faster simply because he takes the virus seriously and will consult professionals while putting out the right messages to people. Trump encouraging people to come out of their homes and act like normal (all because he happened to beat it) will get thousands killed unnecessarily right before a vaccine and will result in hospitals being overloaded, essentially forcing lockdowns when that happens, which is what will hinder their economy far more than being cautious and restricting gatherings etc for several months, which is what Biden will encourage.
The court packing was a foregone conclusion I think no matter the democratic candidate.
I will definitely celebrate Biden's win, not because I think he's the best potential POTUS, but simply because a legitimate politician with their sanity intact is once again occupying possibly the most powerful position in the world. Even if he doesn't fix what's broke, which would be extremely difficult anyways, at least there isn't a constant threat looming of a loonie that has shown borderline fascist behaviours sitting on the nuclear football. I'll take that any goddamn day and twice on sunday.

Playing the percentages, a randomly selected person would be better than Trump. There's a small chance you'd get someone worse, and a decent chance you'd get someone just as bad, but the most likely outcome is an improvement.

I could confidently believe that the average Canadian could and would run the US better than Trump. Particularly in this pandemic. There's a couple nuts out there but they pale in comparison to cesspool that makes up a not insignificant portion of the US population. All it would take is listening to people clearly smarter than you, not being a massive closet bigot, and giving even a mild #### about the well being of the people you're elected to govern. Some pretty basic prerequisites.
A lot of it isn't rocket surgery, but he makes it look like it. Mainly because he's so preoccupied with his image that he can't accomplish the most basic ####. Being devoid of compassion for any one else outside of himself and the handful of people that say nice things about him also impedes his abilities.
Jesus, what a bunch of f'n clowns. What exactly is their goal there? If they're trying to piss off thousands of people trying to get to work, etc.. then mission accomplished I guess?

I think what’s craziest of all with this Burisma joke is that Trump and his swamp actually did try to withhold foreign aid for a quid pro quo with none other than Ukraine. It’s maddening trying to argue against people who play the devils advocate game with Trump while claiming to be not for him. Biden did it as an American policy and to stand up against the indecencies being done in the Ukrainian government not because of Burisma and his sons apparent involvement. Trump withheld the money to get help to cheat another election... why are we even arguing which man is more indecent?? It’s laughable.
If you're an independent or undecided voter, surely, this is enough to get you in the tank for Trump. No evidence was substantiated against Trump or his family for alleged collusion with Russia despite the media parroting it as the undisputed truth for THREE YEARS. We now have an email with a MOUNTAIN of corroborating evidence that demonstrates that the whole Biden family was engaged in a pay-for-play operation with corrupt Ukrainian and Russian oligarchs.
The Trafalgar Group is predicting a Trump victory. They are getting flack from other pollsters like Nate Silver on their methodology but the Trafalgar Group also predicted a Trump victory in 2016 in the face of similar criticism. They use a different methodology that factors in a "Social Desirability Bias" which is essentially the belief that people lie to pollsters. I can see people not wanting to reveal that they are voting for Trump.
Anyway, I don't know enough about polling to comment but I thought it was an interesting perspective and different than the Biden landslide that most people are predicting:

I love how "Do the research." is 2020-speak for "watch the same videos that confirm my bias that I watch." No one who has actually done research ever says it.

Good, that will encourage more Biden supporters to vote.
And the Biden win will be that much more satisfying.

They predicted that Kemp would win Georgia by 12 points in 2018. After a furious voter suppression by Kemp as Secretary of State, he won by 1.4 percent. Trafalgar has virtually no credibility as a pollster.
The best part about their polls is that they do IVR polling (press 1 for Trump, press 2 for Biden) and not live calls. They somehow think that people would not be comfortable pressing 1, instead they press 2. They then readjust some of the 2's and turn them into 1's. Crazy stuff.

Looking forward to watching the same law enforcement that Donald says loves and endorses him physically escort him from the premises in January when he refuses to leave.
