Scorchy had potential to be as great as Gritty. The Flames owners blew it...
Well they've been putting out scorch teases on social media, so he's not exactly dead. But man, If I were In charge of this stuff for the organization - retros full time, blasty thirds and scorch in the stands PRONTO. Full stop, no question.
They're so out of touch with what the fans want, every so often they feed us the goods through a #### eyedropper with a handful of retro jersey appearances and one goddamn heritage classic game with one of the best looking jerseys ever made, its painful to witness the incompetence.
And they're just hurting themselves with all the potential merch sales they could be making but aren't, between new retro scheme primaries and scorch merch.
There is just something about the blasty logo in retro that just doesn't seem to work for me in my version and bc-chris's. I think it is going to have to have some black in the logo and jersey.
That said, I like the adjustment I made to the fire-snot, I found it all being one color to be a little too much.

Agreed, I feel like the blasty logo needs to have black surrounding it for it to look badass. It kinda looks like a knockoff when it's on a red background, kind of like the infamous ICINLA jersey:

Wait...why are we not floating the idea of a Scorch jersey!? Can you think of a better 3rd jersey for any team than that insane puckhead with googley eyes and flames coming up around his neck?

Blasty is a relic of the "extreme" '90's and needs to stay there. Same with the black jerseys. Do they look kinda sharp? Sure, perhaps for another team, but black has no place on a Flames jersey.

Why not? As an accent colour I think it's fine, if it's utilized properly. And why should Flames jerseys only be red? I think there's absolutely room for some creative new designs involving a lot of black and yellow/gold.
