I’m done with everyone on this team not named Tkachuk. Blow it up. Don’t sign Hall and extend this mediocrity. Try get a few star players through the draft and try again.

Even if the Flames win this game, who in the right mind will think that the Flames can win Game 7?

At least we got some bonus hockey

And at least the playoffs aren’t going to make management think any different that they should have if it just stopped when it stopped

A team with a bunch of good pieces but no direction. Lots of work to do

I didn't think I could be more embarrassed as I was last year. This is pretty close if not worse.

Meh, I feel nothing. There is no reason to have your hopes up with this team, we are not even close to the level of the real contenders. What an awful franchise.

Flames Goalie performances since 2008, in games facing elimination:

2008
Kiprusoff – gave up 4 goals and was pulled. Joseph let in first shot.

2009 – Kiprusoff
3 goals on 15 shots – Calgary dominated the game play

2015:
Ramo pulled the vastly outplayed Flames into OT

2017:
Elliot - puts the cap on perhaps the worst playoff goalie performance in the history of the NHL.

2019:
Smith was terrible, gave up a couple stinkers that deflated the team, gave up 5 goals.

2020:
Talbot gave up 2 weak goals, Rittich gave up at least one more.

From the GT ... whether any other teams had allowed 7 unanswered goals in a playoff game ...

Not even close....

January 23, 1944: Detroit 15, New York Rangers 0. The most one-sided game in NHL history took place in Detroit on January 23, 1944, when the Red Wings blanked the New York Rangers, 15-0.

2 years ago Pitt beat Flyers 7-0
Typical Flames. Can't even be the best at being the worst.

You can blame this or that, but this is the usual harsh reality for teams that never get bad enough to get elite players in the draft.
