It didn't work in the NFL. Don't think we need to bring it to the NHL. There are other ways. I applaud the (I believe it was the Islanders) the islanders and their opponents on how they decided to bring attention to the social injustice. That is a much better, much less controversial way of bringing attention.

"Much less controversial" is definitely code for "easier to ignore."

Anyone who thinks what Dumba did is controversial is welcome to not consume NHL hockey and we won't miss you.

Proud of the NHL for their very vocal support of these players.

If you choose to ignore the social injustices there are in the world, then that is on you.

But I however applaud the Islanders and rangers on what they have done by respectively trying to make positive change. They shouldn't be ignored, but they should be bringing attention to the issues that need to be addressed.

I sure hope you don't watch Baseball, or Basketball. Where literally every team is doing what Dumba did today.

You have clearly clearly missed the point and really should educate yourself a bit in wtf is going on right now.

My god.

Welcome to 2020, where murdering someone over the colour of their skin is not defensible. You'll find things have changed a little since you fell into that coma in 1860. Best of luck with the rehab.

That said, I suspect the Canucks just barely eke out a win in five because of their strength in net.

Wow we live in a world where having respect means you are from 1860. LOL. Guess winter is coming early this year, its already snowing.

You have very little understanding of the word respect. And even less self awareness.

I can assure you of two things. 1) No one here agrees with you 2) Kneeling was a way to peacefully protest broken systematic racism, and by calling it a "stunt", shows far more disrespect, then the very thing you are arguing.

What's Dumba doing with his hand up? I assumed he'd kneel.

I can't call myself fully educated on the topic of anthem protests at all, but I figure maybe it's harder to kneel on the bench? I know Tampa's JT Brown raised his fist in protest a couple years ago, and Dumba did something similar.

Plus probably no room to kneel on the bench.

Please don't get hurt, Ferly.

That said, LOVE to see him back and looking in form again. The only Canuck I'm cheering for.

If that was a black power salute it was confusing, his arm wasn't straight.

Ferland fighting already. I winced through the whole thing.
