LOL, the Bakersfield player throws his stick at Hathaway with the empty net. Auto-goal results.

Also a beauty move by Hathaway to set up the 2nd Janko goal.

Who was the Oiler moron who threw the stick? Looked like he was wearing a letter. Not a very "Captainy" thing to do, but absolutely an "Oilery" thing to do.

Hathaway should have knocked his block off.

Gillies with 41 saves. Showed up his former backup at the other end of the ice.

Awesome performance by Gillies, still not sure whom I like more between him and Parsons, but it's hard to go wrong

Wow judging from the highlights Gillies stole that came

Good on Stockton for capitalizing on their scoring chances

Agreed. Really hard to go wrong, but Treliving answered C) Eddie Lack.

which was the correct decision. Get a stop-gap for a year to be Smiths backup while Gillies continues to develop (don't forget he lost close to a full year to injury) in the AHL and Parsons gets tons of ECHL starts while he gets his feet wet in pro hockey. Next year transition Gillies to the NHL and let Parsons have the AHL net. That's a good plan in my opinion.

Fully agree. The puzzling part is what they are doing with David Rittich. Seems to be the odd man out so far this season with minimal playing time in pre-season.

His numbers were too good last year to be forgotten, unless we are missing something?

I was really surprised we did not see more of him in both NHL or AHL pre-season but net is quite crowded in the organization right now.

Rittich would appear to be an obvious tradable prospect before next season. But does need starts to show his worth.

In my opinion, Rittich and Gilles both showed enough last year to get the NHL backup spot.

I think it's just another instance of where Treliving doesn't consider our kids to ever be "ready" and we need stop-gap veterans for every spot.

Anyways sorry for derailing a bit. Glad Stockton won and of course Janko and Gilles (and Rittich) will be at the forefront of many more of those wins.

I think you mean the Barricuda. Much better team than the Condors.

2-1 Hathaway

Hathaway and Mangiapane have the lone assists on each other goals. 1g+1a for each

edit: They tacked on an Jankowski assist to the Hathaway goal.

Did they say whether Shinkaruk's scratch was healthy or injury-related?

Too bad Jankos's AHL career will end on a loss
