The Coyotes? You could make a lot of money gambling on that one.

If the playoffs started today we'd have home ice against the Canucks and the Oilers would miss and draft 15th overall. What a dream.

I picked the Coyotes to be my biggest riser this year. Not sure I’m ready to call them a playoff team quite yet.

My bet is on a Battle of Alberta in the first round.

As much as I want that, a battle of alberta in the playoffs would be so stressful.

True for the division, but, it's a small bummer that the Predators beat the Knights because that keeps the Predators 3 points up on the Flames for 1st place in the western conf.

The Knights are a way bigger deal to Calgary than the Preds.

I'd be a huge ball of stress the entire series, even if the Flames were favored to win. Losing to that team would be absolutely unbearable, even worse than losing to the Canucks or Ducks. But of course, beating them would be the greatest thing ever.

Except the playoffs would never start with teams having not played equal games. Based on the trends so far, we'd actually make the playoffs starting against the Oilers, with them having home ice advantage.

Flames are 1-1 against the Pacific. 3-3 against the West. 2-2-1 at home. 5-3 on the road.

It's hard to assess what they are without a bunch more Pacific division games.

This is my biggest concern. The Flames absolutely need to be better at home this year.

The Boston game was a nice sign, but then the Pittsburgh game happened. Here is hoping that the Washington game signals a return to better play at the Saddledome.
