I enjoyed the two episodes, I'm not expecting anything on the level of the re-imagined BSG. However I do love my space battles, so getting lots of action in that department suits me just fine.
Agree with the "lots of lens flare" comment though, I wonder if they are doing it to hide some lower quality CGI?

The virtual sets are kind of obvious in places too.

I'm half way through season three after beginning a nuBSG re-watch about this time last year. The visual disparity between the show and Blood and Chrome is pretty jarring.
And I do love me a good lens flare, but so much sci-fi uses that look these days that it just makes it feel kind of generic here.
I am enjoying this series, can't wait for some epic space battle action in the next episode! Did you all see that glorious flak shield going up in the preview?
Spoiler!
So is the Viper pilot that found out he was a dad going to bite it right away now?
Reminds me of what is arguably the best space battle in the re-imagined series, Resurrection Ship:
I do think that there was a major error in this one in terms of the Cylon look. At the start of the series at the peace station they had stated that the Cylons hadn't been seen in a long while, the officer there looked shocked at the new Cylon drones that showed up before 6. In the museum they had the old school cylons from the OS and made it seem like those were the Cylons that they faced in the war. The cylons in blood and chrome were pretty much the same look as the ones inthe series.
I think they should have gone with the vintage cylons.
The other thing is that those cylons in Blood and chrome looked a lot like the commando droids in the Clone Wars

This was a really great web series. The Galactica universe really fell off track with Caprica which became so complex and so confused that it was nearly unwatchable.
This got back to what made Galactica great, a battle against desperate odds for survival where the hero's are flawed and very very human. Plus the launch scene at the end was a great payoff to me.
Spoiler!
seeing the initial humaform cylon near the end was quite awesome, and what she said was key to the cylon mentality that we saw from the priest cylon in the series. "You might be more enlightened then the rest of your kind but we still hate you"
awesome
can't wait for the series.
